We were not from the area but were going into the city and needed to find somewhere to eat after the christmas show at Radio City. I was skeptical selecting a restaurant over the internet, but was pleasantly pleased with the results. Based on the reviews, location, prices, and menu I chose Remi's. Christmas in NY can be a crowd frenzie and I was nervous that the restraunt experience would not measure up during this caotic time of year. Not only did it measure up, it exceded my expectations. We were warmly greeted and seated promtly to a lovely table for four. Our wait staff were very helpful,attentive, and unobtrusive. They were readily present, attending to our immediate needs. You hardly knew they were there. Not once did we feel the need to request someting, they seemed to know what we wanted or needed (even before we did), there was no having to ask for service here. What more could you want? Our head waiter was excellent. We wanted a nice meal at a reasonable price and he senced that. He was very warm and friendly, he made you feel as though you were invited into his own home for dinner. He assissted us with wine selections, and menu choices and he was dead on with his recommendations. Being a wine lover I was pleased with the extensively wonderful and very tempting wine list, but we chose a reasonable price selection and it was fine for our dinning purpose. Each of us ordered one of the pasta dishes. The pasta was light, just the right size proportion, served piping hot, and cooked to perfection. We all sampled each others and each was more delicious than the next. I would definately go back without question! No worries here, good food, good people, good atmosphere, clean, efficient service....a great dining experience. Great job to the staff and chefs at Remi's. The only FYI I have is that the menu on their web site is not exactly the same as in the restaurant, but it was very similar (food/prices) and all good just the same.
