best pizza

by DavidHoww

What a great alternative to delivery. I'm still on the hunt for the best pizza in NY and I think that Amadeus pizza company is in the running. I love their pizza and it's better than delivery because you can pick it up and make it when you want. It only takes 10 minutes and it's so much better than delivery. Even I can't mess that up!

  • Pros: quick pizza
  • Cons: delivery

One of THE BEST Pizza places in the city

by CandaceInNJ

I love pizza and had the chance to try many while working for www.seamlessweb. com and that is how I found Amadeus Pizza. The first time I tried them I never tried anything else and always recommended that we order from them in the office. They were always timely and the food was always hot. They alway sent me the extras I asked for with no problems. The delivery people were courteous and deserving of a good tip. I no longer work there but still make sure that I stop by for a slice. This is definately one of THE BEST pizza places in the city.

  • Pros: Fast hot delicious pizza
  • Cons: not near me

Jail food would be a better choice

by stevenoliander

This has to be the worst food I have ever eaten. You are better off going to your local deli and buying frozen pizza or pasta and microwaving it. Soggy pizza borderline sweaty flavorless pasta, smelly mushy calamari. We threw everything out! ugggg beware.. The other reviews were either by family members or people forced to review against their will. No New Yorker would Take a second Bite

the smell takes you in

by joshmurph

f you pass in front of this place you can't help but be drawn inside. The quirkiness of the window display and the smell of the food are too inviting. But the slowest service will make sure you dont get value for money.

If the crowds of new york are proving too much, head here. It's sure to perk you up and bring a smile to your face if you are not expecting a fast service

  • Pros: delicious pizza that makes you feel in italy
  • Cons: slowest service

Excellent Pizza, Terrible Service

by chelseanewyork

Delicious Pizza. There's nothing I can add that other users haven't already said; pizza had wonderful doughy crust, zesty sauce (perhaps a little dry), cheese firmly in place and not swimming around (i.e. not overwhelming the sauce). Expansive menu including variety of salads and hoagies, but none of which I can speak to.

Service is what you'd expect from a parlor like this, maybe a little below. On one occasion, there was an Egyptian behind the counter at the Chelsea location who was astonishingly condescending, confrontational, and rude, not just to me but making fun of other patrons who either just leave the store or have their backs turned (and in case you're wondering how I know he's Egyptian, it's because he spent half the time making jokes about Asians and African-Americans that I had to ask). (Perhaps his humor was lost in translation?) Ultimately, uncomfortable and harassing. Other occasions haven't been special either; not friendly staff, can be surprisingly SLOW at times.

Atmosphere is non-existent. Then again, you can't eat that and for the price and quality of the pizza, very few top.

I really fell in love with the pizza here, It was very fresh when i got it, warm, right out the oven, the cheese was delicious, the crust was perfect, I have no complaints about it! The price is very reasonable and the location is great, Its a great lunch spot for my co workers and I. I would highly suggest to check this place out!

really is the greatest pizza in the city!

by vahlik

Not only was this the greatest pizza in the city but the greatest pizza I have ever tried! Its delicious, the crust, the cheese, the toppings, everything about it. The food took about 5 minutes to get and it was reasonably priced, this place is def worth every penny anway. I would have to agree with everyone that its just amazing, nothing else to say, but great food. Keep up the good work Rays!

  • Pros: great food
  • Cons: not a great looking place

Gerat place for a slice.

by moreno7302

Service is O.K. and a good place for a slice. Very good crust on a very flavorful Pizza. Ray's is as good a Pizza as you will find in New York.

  • Pros: Good Pizza, and easy to find.
  • Cons: Somewhat shabby inside.
