User Reviews for Spoiled Brats

We've been coming to this store for years, and they have always been interested, polite and helpful. The owner that I know isn't named "Eddie", so I'm not sure what the other review is talking about. Spoiled Brats has always taken things back when we need to return or exchange. Much better than going to one of the huge mega-stores for pet supplies--keeps the business in the neighborhood, and they care some great stuff. Occasionally they don't have exactly what I need, but they are willing to help find it if necessary. Their prices are also pretty competitive.

Pros: Good selection of natural foods, kind staff

Cons: Small store, so prices aren't "rock bottom"

This is the worst pet store with the rudest service I have ever encountered. I just returned from the store after trying to return a retractable leash that broke the 2nd time I used, almost resulting in my dog getting run over by a car. The sales clerk refused to refund my money. I asked to speak to the manager and he called Eddie, the owner, who proceeded to take up my time giving me a lecture explaining that 1- refunds are not his policy 2- this was actually my fault because I should have bought the higher quality leash (though I bought this 'lower quality' one from this same store). I insisted on a refund - I had just bought this thing and I don't see how a store has a right to tell you you can only have your money back by buying something else from them. He called me rude, he called me an as*. It was unbelievable. This is an owner speaking to a long time customer who wanted to return one item which broke within 2 days. I have 5 dogs and spend almost $500/month in his store. I had never returned anything before. My dog was almost lost her life because he sells defective products and, rather than offer an apology and an immediate refund, this owner chose to lecture me, blame me and curse me out. Don't reward merchants like this who treat their customers so rudely.

I try to support "mom-and-pop" stores in the neighborhood, but I will shop at Petco after my last experience here. My dog had an allergic reaction to a crate I bought here and the smirking clerk could care less and gave me a hard time about returning it. I explained my pet was in the hospital as we spoke and he pretty much laughed in my face. I will never go back. Now I have store credit at a place that I will never use. Shame on them.

BEST pet store I've ever been to - they love animals and it shows. They spent a lot of time with me when I adopted my kittens, they are so helpful and knowledgeable about brands, they have a lot of natural choices.. LOVE this place!!

I like to support the local Mom 'n Pop establishments. This small and out of the way spot offers a HUGE selection of natural pet food and treats for your furry friends! Items are stacked to the ceiling. If you're looking for bulk or value, you're better off with the large chain stores. HOWEVER...they make up for their higher prices by providing food and shelter for Hell's Kitchen homeless and stray cats! There are usually at least a dozen cats and kittens waiting for foster care or a permanent home. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and also offer delivery. This should definitely be a stop for the posh pet. I give them kudos for their belief in providing healthy pet alternatives. You can also pick up some aromatherapy candles or incense for yourself too! GOOD KARMA ALL AROUND!

Pros: selection, staff

Cons: , pricey

Although the selection, quality, and staff are outstanding, I wouldn't get your basic essentials here; the mark up is about 30% on every item. But if you're looking for knowledgable and friendly staff who really care aout what they are doing, look no further. These people are the best neighborhood pet supply store.

Pros: friendly staff, good selection

Cons: expensive
