terrible - don't waste your money

by geofftbrown

Just don't stay here. This would be fine if it was rated a 3 star, but all of the websites claim it is a 4. Overpriced and overrated. Maybe we were just given a bad room, but we stayed 4 nights and they wouldn't give us a different one or even come up and look at why we did not like our room.

  • Pros: comfy pillows, quiet, good location
  • Cons: stained, not well kept, rude staff, poor views, awkward bath

Beautiful rooms, excellent service at this hotel

by Maddiesmom

I got a deal on one of the websites that do discounts, and stayed here with my girlfriend. We had a wonderful night, and the room service was excellent. The rooms were beautifully kept--nice and spacious. All of the amenities were great too. Nice gym, restaurants, and art work!

  • Pros: Loved the Warwick

Very nice

by jbsky

Stayed overnight for a quick trip into the city. Very happy we stayed here. Excellent location, easily reached by car. Allowed us to check in early. Room was spotlessly clean and if the weather had been nicer it would have afforded a wonderful view of Central Park straight down the avenue. Beatiful old world feel.

Only downsides as others have mentioned, small, slow, and few are the elevators which is what you get unless you want brand new and soulless. Make sure you plan accordingly. And our AC was not the most efficient (but it was a brutally hot and humid day).

Bathroom products were very high quality and although small the bathrooms were very nicely done. Remember this IS NOT a five star hotel (but not for lack of trying) so even though the service is top notch do not expect some of the "fluff" you find at five stars.

  • Pros: Old World charm, location, parking
  • Cons: Small, slow elevator system

Great location!!

Great Location!! This hotel is very nice in a great location to walk everywhere and the staff were incredibly helpful. The only down I had was the bed was a little hard but other than that no complaints.

WOW...History

by girlaudio

I was in town on personal business and chose to stay at the Warwick Hotel. It was a super choice and I will do it again. I loved how you feel like you have stepped back in time. The historical feel and look of this 1927 hotel is awesome. The prices are high, but that is NY. The service was great! The ambience was SUPER. My room was large. The bathroom was beautiful. It was small, but adequate. The only complaint was the walls are apparently paper thin, however, just bring some ear plugs because this hotel is a must stay! The location is AWESOME!!!!

  • Pros: Super location, great ambience!
  • Cons: A little pricey

Classy, with great history!

by pintsize72

The Warwick is a great place to stay! The staff was exremely welcoming, and I enjoyed a note in my room telling me what the weekend's events were in the city! The Chill Out Sundays package allowed us to stay there at a low rate, and it included breakfast to go, a in house movie, and much more!

Would stay at the Warwick anytime!

  • Pros: Great location, wonderful staff, great food.
  • Cons: None!

Lots of other better choices

by mslovell

Warwick makes ok first impression. But personnel and service just don't stack up.

Many other hotels will appreciate your business and make you feel welcome.

Warwick staff made us feel like they were doing us a service by letting us stay there.

My opinion is to find someplace else.

If not for the location I wouldn't stay here

by psboston7

I expected lots from this property. The room was okay but the service was horrible from the non-attentive bellman staff, the less than friendly hotel desk to the food server with literally NO personality. Seeing that I work in the hospitality Industry my expectations are high we arrived struggling through the doors with 8 pieces of luggage there were 3 bellman on and NOT ONE of them stepped forward with a cart or to offer assistance at all.

The rooms are about medium size not much room for a whole lot of luggage so keep this in mind if you are traveling with children for a extended stay with lots of items. Security staff was kind and friendly (took my ice bucket for me when I couldn't find the ice machine of my floor and brought back ice)

  • Pros: location
  • Cons: staff unattentive, tiny elevators, bellman were lazy

Heavy on history with a touch of notoriety.

The Scene
William Randolph Hearst built this hotel in 1926. Cary Grant lived here in a suite of his own for 12 years. The Beatles rested their heads here, too. Nowadays, the 6th Avenue location is convenient for visiting the Theater District, Fifth Avenue shopping and other Midtown sights.

The Details
Each of the large 426 rooms and suites has a spacious closet, marble bathroom and double windows to filter out the street noise. They also have dual-line telephones with data ports and fax. Murals on 54, the refurbished dining room, features continental cuisine with international influences. Its fresh design accentuates the historic murals by Dean Cornwell, who was commissioned to paint the original restaurant. Randolph's, a restaurant and lounge, is designed more like a living room than a bar and has large windows overlooking Avenue of the Americas. This hotel has always been carefully maintained, tastefully furnished and courteously staffed.

wonderful hotel - great friendly bar

by jennifershall

I love the Hotel Warwick. It's rooms are large and comfortable, the staff is wonderful and friendly, but most of all the bar is superb with very friendly clientele.

  • Pros: bar, location, room size
