Love it!

Love this place! The salon is super clean and the girls that work there are so sweet! They really try to make going to the spa the highlight of your week! Very happy...

After looking for a hair salon near my job, I called for an appointment based on the reviews here and on other sites. I was able to get an appointment that afternoon and with the very same Gladys that so many of the reviews raved about. I was not disappointed. The cut is very well done and exactly what I wanted (it is a basic angled bob, but I've had stylists screw it up before). The atmosphere in the salon was nice also - no loud disco music (low volume classic rock, yay!) and I didn't have treatments I didn't want pushed on me (which makes me more likely to actually have them). I also thought the cost was reasonable for Manhattan, I will happily visit again.

love my new hair color

Gladys change my look . Took my hair from an awful color to a new stunning shade. Got so many compliments. Loved her humorous honesty she also gave me lots of beauty tips that made a huge difference.

Gladys = Amazing.

Ever since moving to NY I went to Blossom hair salon on 52nd btwn 8&9. I was never fully satisfied. I heard about Gladys from a friend and decided to try her out. She gave me a texturizer, it was done to perfection!

I will keep going back to Gladys!

Can't Go Wrong

Great style and prices

Based on the reviews here, I made an appointment with Gladys. I am not sure if she was in a bad mood or is just like that always, but she was definitely not "warm" or friendly. She washed my hair, and it was like she was scrubbing pots and pans. She was so rough, I was wincing with pain. While in the chair, she asked me in an accusatory tone why I didn't get my color done there and I told her I didn't live there. I didn't get a haircut but she did style my hair which came out better than my usual hairstylist. I loved it so much. Despite her being unfriendly, not gentle and just plain intimidating, I LOVED my look when I left so I got my moneys worth. I would probably go back if I was in the area again.

Friendly, professional haircare

I walked in to Jeunesse Coiffure a year and a half ago and had the good fortune of making an appointment with Gladys. Gladys is a warm, talented and professional stylist, who is great at what she does and pays attention to detail. I highly recommend the salon, as well as this stylist, for anyone who wants smart, reasonably priced styling.
