Drs. McLellan and Pigman are excellent and the staff is great. Dr. Putter is rude and arrogant. Lenox Hill has been taking care of my cats for some 20 +/- years since my first cat adopted me. It was one of the best until Dr. Putter took it over. About two years ago, I had one of my cats in for a sonogram. Present in the exam room were the doctor performing the sono, Dr. McLellan, two technicians assisting in holding the cat and me. Putter burst in and started berating one of the technicians about the table in the other exam room having crumbs on it and it needed to be cleaned immediately. He was rude, unprofessional and disrespectful to the doctors, technicians and the client - me. I wrote him a letter pointing this out to him and that he owed everying in the room an apology. It's a good thing I didn't hold my breath - he has never responded much less apologized. I still take cats in - Drs. McLellan and Pigman are still the caring , extremely competent professionals. If they leave, I will also go. I will never let Putter touch any of my guys.

I took my very sick cat here, after speaking with a few emergency vets over the weekend, who all told me my cat would be fine. I brought him into Lenox hill and immediately they rushed him downstairs and saved his life - they told me 1 more hour and he would have been dead. They kept me updated all week, as he made a miraculous recovery and was returned to me better than ever! This vet is a wonderful place, and I've had nothing but great experiences...a little on the pricey side, but if your animal is as important to you as mine is, it's worth it!
Pros: Very Friendly, knowledgeable doctors, great office staff, clean facility, caring techs
Cons: pricey, peak hours sometimes difficult to get last minute appointment

On our first visit here we brought our very sick golden retriever in for emergency help. Dr. Putter was caring and concerned and made us feel that she was in the very best of hands. Everyone we spoke to from our initial call to the vet's assistants were kind. Thanks to them and their quick action, we still have her with us and for that we are eternally grateful. Jennifer Anderson
Pros: Excellent care

Remarkeable place. Kind, compassionate, truly sincere and caring doctors and staff. Everybody bent over backwards to take care of Sammy. He was so ill and we thought this was going to be it but once again (2nd time) they worked a miracle. Thank You Dr. Putter.
Pros: great staff., knowledgeable, committed Doctors

What's with the negative reviews by anonymous people???? It's like grafiti outside on the street. Sounds like bitter apples. I'm proud to say that the Doctors are all very knowledgeable at Lenox Hill Veterinarians. They saved tyson my boxer. Excellent hospital. Friendly, courteous, efficient staff. Very responsive to our needs. I've been to other vets. Kept hearing good things about this hospital and when we were disappointed with care given at another Manhattan hospital (which I won't name) we were referred here. They were warm, caring, concerned and immediately took care of Tyson. I'm forever grateful and glad that in such a city I can still find that kind of service. I can't stress enough how happy we are to have them take care of Tyson. Thank You Dr McLellan, Dr Pigman (who by the way has a Boxer) and Dr Putter. You are all so excellent. Jason McDougle.
Pros: great service, Nice hospital, Love the staff

My dog was on deaths door. After having been to several other vet clinics I was referred to Lenox Hill Veterinarians. Great staff, warm and friendly and professional. The Doctors are caring and knowledgeable. They saved his life and we are both in their debt. I so recommend this hospital. Mark
Pros: great staff, good location, nice hospital
Cons: not inexpensive

The vet that I went to see was absolutely terrible. He did nothing but try to make me feel stupid, refuse to listen a word I had to say and then misdiagnosed my dog. Upon taking her to another vet, after using up the medicine he gave me and seeing no signs of improvement in the dog, my pup was diagnosed as I and several other people expected, given proper medication and has shown signs of improvement in a few days.
Pros: Pleasant receptionist
Cons: Veterinarians, Business, Customer Service

My cat and I did not have that great of an experience at the Lenox Animal Hospital. The doctor who treated my cat and is now recently the new owner of the practice was very rude, and unprofessional.

I took my cat here and having just moved to the city, I was nervous to try a new vet. I was very pleased with the vet who looked at my cat and everyone was very nice and professional. I will definitely be bringing my cat back here and I know he will be in good hands.
Pros: clean, nice, professional
