I have used many different caterers in NYC and have never been happier than I was with Butterfield Market's Catering Division. Whether a large benefit dinner or a small intimate gathering in my home I know I can always depend upon Butterfield Market.

Butterfield Market made having a party fun again!! Not only was the food excellent, but also the staff was very personable and professional. I did not have to worry about a thing. I will definitely book them again.

I catered Thanksgiving Day dinner today from Butterfield Market, after selecting it from a list of caterers reviewed by New York Magazine. The dinner arrived today during the day, the Turkey warm so all i had to do was reheat it at 350 degrees for 15 minutes before people arrived. I also had to reheat the sides the same way. They forgot to include the cranberry sauce, so I called, and within a couple hours Butterfield delivered that single item to me. No hassles. Also, when I got the meal, the containers looked quite small so I got a bit concerned that it wouldn't be enough. But, to get to the bottomline, the meal was perfect. My family is hard to please and have made comments about other caterers of previous years (also which I had selected from New York Magazine). This one, everyone agreed, the food was excellent. Everything was perfect. I'd probably opt for the apple pie next time over the pumpkin pie (i got both this time), but regardless this caterer was clearly superior. I would highly recommend catering from Butterfield Market. Note that it's not cheap. And there was a $50 delivery fee (at least for my location). But it proved worth it. We all agreed that we'd order from Butterfield again. Frankly, I still feel full at the moment, so it's hard to think about ordering for next year at the moment!

Cons: Left out the Cranberry Sauce, Quantity of Food "appeared" not to be enough

i catered thanksgiving dinner from them last year everything was absolutely delicious. the service was fantastic and i was able to get in and out of there because of it's location. i'd highly recommend this place to anybody and if you manage to go and order from this place, make sure you try the sweet potato praline, it's one of the best dishes you'll ever eat.

This neighborhood store has the best prepared food in the neighborhood. I recently went to a friends house where the Butterfield Market catered a cocktail party, and was impressed not only by the waiters, and professionalism of the event - but that the food was even better than it is in the store!

this place has the most delicious chicken fingers, fruit, cappachinos, and friendly service... the cakes are great the best!

I have been a customer for over 30 years. The food quality is superb, the produce is exceptional, and the family that owns the store add to the aptmosphere.

I just moved to New York about 2 years ago from a small town in New Jersey. Most of the stores in manhattan are so inpersonal it was nice to find a real neighborhoods market that I feel at home in. I sometime feel like "Norm" from Cheers. The food is always great, but what I love most about it is the people.

The Butterfield Market is a great find for any New York foodie. The personalized service and top-draw gourmet selection makes this Upper East Side store one of a kind. The prepared food is always fresh and never disappoints. The catering department is also amazingly helpful. I have been to several events that they have organized. Each time the food has been a hit and the staff has been professional.
