Greatest Hamburger in Manhattan
by sitigun
First time I visit them in 1985, when I was still lived in Europe. I was in love at first time. Now I live here in Manhattan since 1991. This is the best hamburger I've ever have. Goes there at least once in a month. All my friends are never dissapointed at all with this place.
- Pros: All kind of hamburgers.
- Cons: Beware of lunch crowd. Place are very tight
No Fillers in the meat
by jackryan
People that have commented on the bad burgers are used to all the poor that places put in it to help it STAY together.....good lean, no filler burgers tend to break apart more easily due to the fact the fat is low and nothing is sticking together. This is the case for jackson hole. The burgers are big, 100% meat with little if any filler and taste good.
Space is tight and beers are only bottles but at 5 bucks. Service was a little flakey but it is a hole in the wall type place.
- Pros: LEAN MEAT
- Cons: No Draft Beer but it's listed on the menu's website. FRAUDS
OVERRATED

Burger Buns dont contain the burger
It is what it is...but shouldn't be #1 for sure.

Great burger joint!

Disclaimer first: This does not have the best burgers- Donovan's in Woodside holds that title, in my opinion. However, I am a big fan of Jackson Hole and this happens to be my favorite branch. If it's warm out, you MUST sit out in the garden! It's so nice back there! I love their huge burgers with all the variations of toppings you can imagine. My group ordered a chicken sandwich, 3 different burgers, and a chili burrito. Everyone agreed their meal was good. (If you are intent on finishing your massive burger, I suggest you not get the fries on the side or the milkshake since they fill you up fast.) The chocolate milkshake wasn't as good as some other times, but we'll let that one slide. I also look forward to those pickles each time I come here. They may look like normal slices of cucumber, but don't be fooled, they are pickled to perfection!
- Pros: large burger selection, great garden, the pickles!
- Cons: tight seating- could be claustrophobic for some
Among the best deals in NYC

Bring your eatin' shoes. Jackson Hole doesn't do small food.
A great burger joint with some pretty good southwestern stuff on the menu as well. Their burritoes are quite good.
Many, many burger varieties and you can get any of those varieties with a chicken breast instead of ground meat; the chicken breast versions are always cooked just right.
The cielings here are low but when the weather's nice there's a garden in the back.
A good place to relax and get fed well. Service is excellent 90+% of the time.
One of my go-to spots for grub in the city.
- Pros: Great Big Burgers, Good quick service, Great value
- Cons: Beware the lunch rush
Western-themed burger joint that believes when it comes to beef, bigger is better.

The Scene
Jackson Hole is decked out in the familiar sort of '50s Americana that you'd see at a typical suburban Bennigan's, with dusty old Western movie posters and Coke signs on the walls. Grab a seat at the counter up front, or snake your way through the incredibly narrow hallways to the dark dining room or brighter garden in back. Service is friendly to the point of obsequiousness.
The Food
A plate of pickles lands on the table as soon as you sit down. Order a milk shake or root-beer float, leaf through the no-frills diner-style menu and consider one of Jackson Hole's more than two dozen burgers, all of which begin with seven ounces of good-quality beef or turkey. Fresh condiments and a soft roll complete the deal.
Biggest and best butgers!!!
by sdeitchman
The best burgers in NYC, also the biggest. The service is pretty good. I went to the 64th st. restaurant once, but the 35th st. several times and it is awesome. I want to try the other "great" burger places to really get a good idea as to which is the best burger joint. Personally I like em' big and juicey. I get em' at jackson hole.
- Pros: Huge Burger, Great toppings, pickles
RUDE...
by backinnewyork
I went with my boyfriend at 11:30am on a Sunday for brunch. We were the only people in the whole entire place. After we chose our seats and a 4 person table they told us that if it got crowded we would have to move during our meal!! The reson we didnt sit in the two poeple section is because 4 of their employees were sitting there eating and we didnt feel like being stared at by the busboys!! The whole time we were there only 1 other couple came in....The manager was rude and I wouldnt go back to that location. The other locations in Manhattan and even Bayside are much better!
beef...yum

Fat, juicy, good offering of toppings. The burgers are very good, but I keep going back for the pickles. Best homemade pickles I've had in this city and I usually devour them before the burger makes it to the table. Skip the fries, they are frozen bad diner quality. Open till 1 am and very friendly staff.
