After a grand renovation, this Upper East Side hotel cultivates a modern, artsy vibe (fitting for its close proximity to some of the city’s finest museums), achieved thanks to gallery-worthy pieces like an interactive video installation by South African artist William Kentridge in the luxurious lobby. Each of the hotel’s 190 “salons” and 30 suites also display chic artwork, but it’s the plush beds, outfitted with deluxe DUX mattresses and customizable lighting panels within arms reach, that ensure a restful night’s sleep. The bed may prove so comfortable, in fact, that guests often choose to stay in, calling down for room service courtesy of Cafe Boulud or a private cocktail lesson from one of the mixologists at the hotel’s chic Bar Pleiades.

Uptown Cozy

This is a great find if you are in the city for a get-away...but don't want to be in the middle of the rat race. Perfectly located close to the GREAT shopping of the upper east side, near central park and in the middle of Museum Mile. Ohhhh, and the restaurant....what more could you ask for!
