AMAZING CHEESECAKES & TARTS
by FlirtyJane
My Cousin bought me cheescake from here as a welcome to NYC gift. WHAT A DELICIOUS TREAT!!! I think it is one of the best cheesecakes I've had in a long time. This is definietely the place to go when in need of a nice gift or a big cake for weddings or birthdays.
Best Sweet Treats EVER!

Visitor from IA stumbled in looking for directions on one day...the staff was very helpful and accurate with guiding us to our destination...the next day had a craving for something sweet so walked all the way from 42nd Street to give them some business they so very much deserved -- when I come back to NYC, I will definitely go back and will recommend to anyone I know coming to NYC!
- Pros: Friendly welcome and awesome tasting sweet treats!
- Cons: NONE!
Free Delivery, Awesome cupcakes, Great service
by thrupthi
I called to have a few cupcakes delivered to my colleagues in another office. No other cupcake place in NYC would deliver for free and they were insisting I order a minimum of 16 cupcakes.
Dessert Delivery let me order a dozen and happily delivered it for free. The lady that took my order was really helpful and sweet and my colleagues absolutely loved the assorted cupcakes.
Highly recommend them.
- Pros: Friendly staff, great cakes and cupcakes, free delivery
Delicious, beautiful, and on time
by HometownGeorgetown
My client wanted to send holiday petit fours to a business contact in New York. After a quick online search, I found Dessert Delivery in the same zip code. I called, and the owner was delightful. She was friendly and customer-service oriented, and she made me laugh while she took my order. My client received a note of thanks from her business contact, which said, "This bakery deserves an A+!" The petit fours were delicious and looked fantastic. And they were delivered in person (for no extra charge) and on time.
- Pros: Delivered on time, tasty, and gorgeous
Delcious cake, friendly & attentive service, cute location!
by ManhattanMartini
I ordered a custom floral cake (buttercream frosting with chocolate cake) for a coworker's bridal shower. They even worked in the wedding colors (including grey) to make a beautiful cake. Everyone at work thought it was beautiful. The cake was delicious and I brought a slice home for my husband. I noticed that the cake was cold when I picked it up, and still fairly chilled when it was served. Thus, the frosting was still solid. After letting the cake warm to room temperature the frosting was very soft, and in my opinion, much better than it was served hard and cold. Just a word to the wise. I highly recommend them over Cupcake Cafe over in Gramercy, as their cupcakes seemed tasteless and the frosting just blah, but they have a similar beautiful flower design.
Great, friendly service, they have many desserts and confections available for purchase (you don't have to preorder everything) and it all looks amazing. I will be ordering all cakes, cookies and treats for any events I have, from here in the future.
The little cafe/seating area is very cute as well, I wish I didn't work 9-6 and always miss being able to stop in.
- Pros: Very friendly, have a large variety of baked goods ready
MMmmmm... Dessert Delivery
by pppatel
The desserts shine here. They hand make them all, and will do special orders of just about anything (I think they are cake designers by trade). I am blown away by her attention to detail. Their muffins (blueberry, cranberry-orange, and lemon poppy seed last time I stopped by) are packed with fresh fruit and natural ingredients, and sprinkled with large sugar crystals. I'm not a big muffin eater, but I inhaled it and wanted to go back for more. Their strawberry tarts pile the strawberries atop cream custard in a pastry shell. It's then sprinkled with almonds, lightly coated with a candy topping to give it a slight crunch, and topped with whipped cream. These desserts are masterful.
Perfect as usual!

I stopped in today to pick up a White Chocolate Lemon Truffle cake for a friend's birthday, but discovered there were none available. Not a problem - the Valencia Orange cake immediately caught my eye. Joanne (sorry if spelled it wrong!) did some fancy piping work for a birthday message and was kind enough to include forks, plates, and napkins for 8, candles, and a cake slicer!
It was incredible! My friends were remarking how the orange flavour was just enough, but not overpowering and that the sweetness of the cake and the frosting was just right. I tasted the cake separate from the frosting and this was spot-on in terms of moistness and consistency.
Thanks again Joanne and Sam! For my birthday (May 13th!) I'll be sure to place an order for the Lemon White Chocolate Truffle cake, which remains my favourite!
Warmly,
Andy Hart
- Pros: Joanne and Sam!
- Cons: I don't have the baking skills and charm they do!

Burned and a rip off

I have used Dessert delivery because I love their cakes, because a) they are delicious and b) I assumed they were backed on premises by a premiere pastry chefs. As a gift this year, I thought what would be a perfect gift for an elderly women with fine tastes that two dozen of Dessert Delivery's fine petits fours. To make sure I got my order in time, I didnt just observe their standard 24 hour notice, I ordered them 48 hours in advance. At the appointed day, I personally went over to pick up my petits fours. They were perfect, they looked perfect, in varying decorations. There was the candy cane decoration, the holly decoration, the present decoration absolutely perfect. 24 petits fours at a cost of $60 plus.
Christmas day, I bring my gift over and I am excited at the thought. She has a nice gift for me too. Well when I open my box from nieman marcus, imagine my surprise to see a box of IDENTICAL petits fours, taste the same, the same decorations, no difference. We laughed at how odd it was we gave each other the same gift. Only problem, I thought my gift was baked on premises and I paid a premium price for it. My friend on the other hand, ordered them online at Neiman Marcus, 36 petits fours for $30 bucks.
So, my thinking is if they dont bake the petits fours on premises chances are there is a lot of other product that can be bought for less somewhere else
you can even find a nice picture of the same petits fours at horchows online site just search for petits fours

- Pros: delicous
- Cons: who knows if they baked it
