Major Screwup

I've used Madison Avenue Florist before and they've been great -- BEAUTIFUL arrangements but this last time they screwed up and when I called them, they could care about their mistakes. It's enough for me to switch to one of the other 8,000 florists in the city who also do great work.

Here's the scenario:

I call in an order for a pretty arrangement approx $80 to be delivered on Thurs ( called Tues) to my good friend's office for her birthday. Also told them to include the following note: "Happy Birthday! Love, Laura"

Simple enough.

The flowers were delivered on Wednesday, one day early, without a card. My friend mentioned to me that she was sent an anonymous bouquet. Asked her who dropped it off -- Madison Ave Florist.

I called them up to confirm that they delivered the flowers early and without a note.The guy confirmed and said, "well, sorry" and then hung up.

It was embarrassing to call my friend back and tell her that those were my flowers that came early and without a card.

I wouldn't expect a full refund, but at least give me something off or offer something for the screwup. Send me some cheap carnations with an apology. Something...

Was frustrating that they could care less.

Most gorgeous flowers i've ever seen!!

Let me start by saying that i am not one to write a review of any kind....but i am so astounded by the beauty of the flowers i bought here, that i feel i need to share it with everyone. After a late afternoon work-meeting on the Upper East Side this Monday, I was thinking about my wife when I walked by Madison Avenue Florist, so I decided to surprise her with flowers. I walked in and could not believe this gorgeous place. It was its own heaven right in the middle of NYC. I decided on the classic dozen roses--peach in color. Well, the flowers were beautiful when i purchased them, but I am still amazed at how they became more gorgeous with each day!! They honestly opened up to the absolute most perfect roses i have ever set my eyes on and each day my wife and i cannot get over their continuing beauty! There really are no words to describe these roses....let's just say that if i imagined the most beautiful roses in the world......i couldnt dream up the beauty of these. We have already decided that we want more next week....hopefully, we will try other flowers from here, too....but we want to experience the roses for a few more weeks first and get our fill of the most heavenly flowers ive ever seen!!! Im not really a flowery guy....or at least I wasnt.....but now I cannot imagine our counter without the awesome flowers that light up our kitchen!! Thank you Madison Avenue Florist!!! Your flowers have enhanced our lives more than I ever wouldve thought possible.

Great service

I live in the UK and chose to get married in NY so, it was quite hard to choose a florist over the internet and hope that everything would be ok! 'speaking' with Tom via email was not only easy but a pleasure and the flowers and bouquets, when they arrived were everything i had hoped they would be. I would highly recommend this florist.

Great Florist Shop Right in the heart of midtown!!

I absolutely love Madison Ave Forist, they have a great selection of gorgeous flowers! The staff is wonderful, so helpful and nice. If you drop by for some info or a business card they will give you a complimentary rose! They are just good neighborhood people who know what they are doing when it comes to flowers. They have colors of roses that I have honestly never seen before: purple, bright red, and so many others! For a bouquet or for a huge arrangement they are the best place.
