Spatacular thin thighs

by jan_carrera at Citysearch

I just finished Anushka's 5-week Cellulite Program (first read about it in Harper's Bazaar) and am delighted beyond belief. My trouble spots (formerly thunder thighs) are sleek and svelte and small. And the treatments are so relaxing too! I guess I should have known - The 1st time I was there I spotted both Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista - If Anushka's cellulite busting magic is good enough for them, it's good enough for me!

Not great!

by westchester at Citysearch

I had heard good things about the cellulite treatment so after losing some weight- I wanted to try it. The massage was OK- not great and the seaweed wrap was gross! The only thing worse then seaweed is warm seaweed- it stunk! Then the shower was to small to even turn around. I was supposed to go out after that but all I wanted to do was go home and shower off! I would have bought her soap but no one would sell it! I would definitely NOT go there again!

Streamline lines and smooth skin with the anti-cellulite queen.

by Contributor at Citysearch

The Scene
Anushka's muted yellow walls are cluttered with magazine clippings praising the techniques, products and celebrity clientele of THE specialist in cellulite care. Visitors range from well-known supermodels to across-the-bridge fanatics who all come for the results, not necessarily the pampering. Although the head technician recommends a five-week "Intensive Body Contouring Program" for serious progress, a smoother and more streamlined silhouette can be enjoyed after only one session.

The Services
Anushka offers spa treatments like waxing and massages, but its real appeal is cellulite busting. Sometimes literally so--contouring massage treatments break fatty deposits and stimulate the lymph drainage system. Others, like the "Seaweed Body Wrap," nourish the skin while drawing out toxins. The two-hour, double-process "Model's Secret Slimmer" uses seaweed gel, infra-red heat and a body-sleeve pressure system to offer instant slimming for those needing to squeeze into a skin-tight dress.

Terrible!!!!

by samcam at Citysearch

This was the worst spa experience I have had. I felt like I was at someones home .. not a spa. The staff are not friendly and the massage that I had was terrible. I was cramped into a room which you could hear the entire floor. The massage consisted of just putting oil on and rubbing it in .. not massaging at all. It was noisy and people even came into my room whilst I was having a massage. I had a seaweed wrap too and they are not conscious that you may feel uncomfortable completely naked - asking me to lie on the bed, face up, naked and then they came along and put a towel over. I will NEVER go back. The place is not relaxing and I certainly didn't feel pampered!

The End to Yo-Yo Dieting!

by bella825 at Citysearch

I've been a committed yo-yo dieter for the past 15 years with no success - but Anushka helped change all that. Their intensive boy countouring program helped me finally lose 2 dress sizes and to look fabulous in my bikini. Natasha and Mila, the cellulite therapists, were caring and knowledgeable and encouraged me to stay motivated. Anushka's nutrition program was easy and effective and she was always available to answer any questions.

More Massage Please!

by ednak at Citysearch

My husband gave me the most delightful gift for Valentines Day - a day of beauty at Anushka called It's A Hottie! When I opened my gift certificate it was wrapped in the most adorable paper purse! I couldn't wait to schedule my Spa day and called pa right away. They were so helpful -

First my body was buffed, then Raya gave me most relaxing Hot Lava Stone Massage that I have ever had. I'm definitely going back for more. Marina, my facialist, went to work on my skin - which looked rejuvenated and years younger when she was through. Then Mira performed miracles on my hands and feet, leaving them smooth and polished to perfection. The spa lunch was healthy and delicious. After my rejuvenating day at Anushka, my husband surprised me with a romantic dinner. What a marvelous day!

Anushka - cellulite - spa - botox & more

by janicenewyork at Citysearch

Now New York's most fab spa, Anushka, now has a gorgeous 11,000 square foot beauty emporium in the Palm Beaches where they also do hair and Botox. So now I can get my same stellar spa services, keep my figure svelte at the Cellulite Clinic --- and --- take care of all of the rest on my trips South. I heard there's also one in Boca!

I LOVE ANUSHKA!

by spike at Citysearch

Anushka, one of the all time original New York City Spas, is a delightful intimate haven where you don't get lost in the crowd. Anushka is probably best known for the Cellulite-busting results that women, including many top models that I've spotted there, get with her 5 week program. But with all the travelling that I do, and spas that I have visited, I find no match for the quality of massage, facials there. Many of the European ladies who take care of you at Anushka have been with her for 15+ years - so these women know what there doing, and it is apparent that they really care about each and every client.

  • Pros: Cellulite Treatments, Pain Free Waxing, nurturing staff
  • Cons: need larger space

Astoundingly incompetent

by lissa2k at Citysearch

Absolutely awful. Maybe the cellulite treatment, their specialty, is worth it, but I booked an aromatherapy massage and it was terrible. Didn't ask what kind of aromatherapy I wanted, didn't seem aware of basic spa etiquette (leaving the room while I undressed, asking before removing the towel from my chest), and gave a terrible massage - basically just rubbing oil into my skin without addressing any major muscle groups. Worse, the unoccupied (unsurprisingly) technicians sat directly outside the treatment room talking loudly, drowned out occasionally by the flamenco music playing in all of the rooms. No question, the worst massage I've ever had.

Never Go There!

by dmychan at Citysearch

This is the most horrible spa I've been to. The walls are thin and the staff are not that friendly. I called to make an appointment two-day in advance and when I showed up, they said that I was not in their computer and was rude and impolite about this. They are the ones who messed up, yet, they did nothing to ameliorate the situation. Take your money and go somewhere else.
