My Local

by jakenewyork00 at Citysearch

I've been going to Dive 75 for the past 4 years, and it's because of the staff. I can drink in a hundred similar places in the city, but here the people make you feel like you're welcome. When you ombine that with the fun atmosphere, the games and the jukebox, you have a great place to go, especially late at nite.

The woman who posted below me is the problem with Citysearch

by blgerson at Citysearch

This bar kicks ass! My friends and I spent a good hour at the bar and we had a great time! The bartender hooked us up with shots just because we were having a good time. We live near this bar and will for sure go back when we need another place for a night cap.

The woman below is an idiot and is the reason business owners have grief about online directories. So what the bouncer needed to check your id. You are not in Central America. Making sure people dont stand in front of the door and are of age is his job. You need to have more drinks and then go home and get laid! Not get create a profile just to bash for this one experience and that is it.

Dive 75 rocks !!

bouncer ruined our experience....we will never go back

by eshirek at Citysearch

Incredibly rude bald bouncer....he will track you down if he misses checking your ID when you walk in. He is rude, and single-handedly ruined our experiece at Dive 75. It is a shame because we live around the corner, but will never return, due solely to this bouncer. Others that night had the same feeling and also said that the bouncer made them never want to come back.

Also, as we were leaving, we stopped outside on the sidewalk right outside the bar to give directions to tourists, and of course, we get yelled by who else but the bouncer, to move away from the door despite the fact that we were on a public sidewalk of a street that we happen to live on....

  • Cons: the bouncer!!

AWESOME! The best board games

by JohnSanchez01 at Citysearch

This bar was pretty fly, even though by the time we got here I was already pretty wasted. Came with with friends, it was pretty crowded, even though the bar crowd wasnt that great looking, the atmosphere was still a lot of fun. Plus they have board games all through the bar so you can drink beer AND play scrabble... Highly recommended...

Chill Hangout Place w/ Chill Cocktails and Chill Bartenders!

by manhattangal at Citysearch

Chill and fun place to hangout on the upper westside with friends or even go on a date. Has a great wine and cocktail list without the pretentiousness of a wine bar and the bartenders are just as chill as the place especially bartender stephen phillips whose just as cool as his tv show .... wow a celebrity! who would've known *smile*!

  • Pros: Fun Ambience and Fun Bartenders

Neighborhood bar with sports, board games and an impressive array of tap beers.

by Contributor at Citysearch

In Short
Upper West Side dwellers with money to spend and a hankering for a neighborhood bar fill this dimly lit watering hole. With four TVs, about 20 tap beers, a free Wi-Fi connection, a 155-gallon fish tank, and an array of board games such as Connect Four and Uno, there's no time to be bored. Drinkers play DJ at a jukebox featuring the likes of Guns N' Roses, Indigo Girls and Eric Clapton.

only a dive by name

by nsny at Citysearch

This place is pretty fun, very easy going, good beer selection (however last time the first 2 requests were tapped out), the crowd is not exactly mixed, primarily yuppie, but as far a being a dive the location alone makes this task impossible, neighborhood maybe, a dive it definately is not

Great Local Bar with Slightly MIxed up Priorities

by beelizza at Citysearch

Good games. They did ask us to be quiet...last time I checked you didn't need to be quiet at a bar...especially when you are talking about a group of 8 that has been buying drinks for over 3 hours.

  • Pros: Games, Atmosphere
  • Cons: Being asked to be quiet

A Destination!

by mikeywerw at Citysearch

By day, Dive 75 became my weekend favorite for having great beer, good company, and a friendly atmosphere to watch any game in. By night, Dive is packed with an awesome crowd choosing its distractions from a wall-full of boardgames and an oddly assorted juke box. Not to mention martini glasses floating around full of chocolate candy. Great date spot, great neighborhood spot, great spot period--the perfect place to while away a few hours any night of the week. Free wireless, too!

  • Pros: Board games make a great start to any conversation...
  • Cons: Losing three consecutive games of Connect Four to your date...

Not a dive at all ;).

by llyonize at Citysearch

Very cool neighborhood bar. Not a dive at all ;). Cool crowd, cool bartenders. They also have games set up at a few tables which is a great icebreaker to maybe meet some new people.

  • Pros: Crowd, Servers, Games
