PC takes good care of you

by cecilia05

I've been living in PC for a few months while my new apartment gets renovated. (Note: PC is very popular for this; a high proportion of the guests here seem to be New Yorkers between homes.) You can rent a studio, one, or two bedroom (all with a kitchen) by the month or even the week. They're flexible about extending leases. The rooms/suites are stylish, modern and comfortable. Great big flat-screens, bose sound system, nice kitchen and bathroom. My one-BR is also pretty quiet, which is nice. PC's location is terrific, not just for Lincoln Center and all the conveniences nearby, but also it's a block away from the 1 and 9 train and several Broadway bus lines. What I like the best about this place is the staff. The doormen, desk people, housekeeping and maintenance people, they all give top-notch service. They have been unfailingly friendly and helpful. The minute you have a problem, they are on it. They can arrange anything - car service, in-room massage, dry cleaning, messengers, show tickets, you name it. I feel very well taken care of here and I recommend it highly to New Yorkers and to visitors.

  • Pros: Terrific service, amenities, ambiance and location
  • Cons: It's expensive. And cell phone/wireless reception in rooms is sketchy.

A sumptuous home for long-term stays.

by Contributor

The Scene
Although available for short-term stays, this luxe residential hotel offers something special to the guest who books by the month. Just around the corner from Lincoln Center, it has been filling that specific urban need since late 1996. Service is highly personal, as the staff usually has the time to get to know you before you check out.

The Details
The best thing about the accommodations is the modern, fully-equipped kitchens. This high-rise building has almost one for every unit, which range from simple overnight rooms to spacious three-bedroom suites. You also get a stereo, VCR, fax machine and something that comes at an ultra-premium in the city: space. There is no room service, but local restaurants are more than happy to deliver. The management provides daily housekeeping and a 24-hour concierge and valet. In addition, guests are given membership in the Reebok Sports Club/NY across the street.

Excellent Option

by cwu

It is like receiving a Suite for the price of a small room. Big comfortable bathroom, Two Tvs, Pioneer Sound System, DVD & VHS, Full Kitchen, Two big closets, and Balducci in the Lobby. It is a great value, not to mention it is walking distance from the Theater District, Lincoln Center, Central Park, etc.

  • Pros: Great Location, Room type Suites, Service
  • Cons: Usually booked out

The location is great. The staff was very attentive and efficient. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous!!!! It is like home away from home. The suites were very spacious and having a full size kitchen in the room made me enjoy the place more. Also, the sports club is great!
