This place rocks. The massages are seriously fantastic (believe I had Dan since I think there's only one guy) not sure who did my facial - but it was so good. I fell asleep. You cannot beat the place, sure its small but I've had some pretty bad massages and facials at other spas for twice the price. Try it - you won't be disappointed.
Pros: Nice people, all very relaxed
Cons: bit small, no waiting area

Fabulous massage! I called for a same-day appointment for a dual decadence message and was cheerfully told that they could give me an appointment at 5:30 by Dan. The spa is very small (four rooms), no frills, but Dan was incredible. I booked another appointment with him for a time in the future. Also, I used the 15% coupon from CitySearch, and received a 20% discount for my next visit. Very reasonable for an amazing massage.

My daughter, who is only 15 years old, started breaking out I asked some friends what I should do. When someone I worked with recommended Ettia Holistic Day Spa I decided to give it a shot. Boy am I glad I did. I have taken her to to Ettia’s 3 times. Her skin has become so much better. I am so grateful because she has been so much happier. We have seen 2 of the estheticians there Jenny and Minori. Thanks Ettia!!!
Pros: facials
Cons: facials are great - i have not tried anything else yet

I just went for their Valentines Day Special for the massage and facial and loved it. My Massage Therapist was Nicole and Minori did my facial. Both are great and really nice. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Pros: people
Cons: place is a little hard to find

Just went in with my boyfriend for the busy person package. We both loved it. The Dead Sea salt scub made my skin really soft. The massage and facial were both great. I would definitely recommend package.
Pros: everything

If you want to pay $125 for someone rub different creams on your face for an hour, this is the place for you. I have been getting facials since I was 16 years old (I'm now 34) for my oily, problemed, acne-prone skin. This was one of the most useless facials I have ever gotten. I explicitly told the receptionist that I am coming for extractions. She assured me that I would get that. When half the facial was over and virtually no extractions had been done, I asked the facialist why not and she told me that it was bad for my skin type and that she would "explain later." She proceeded to give me nothing more than a face massage for the whole time -- something that is horrible for oily skin as it just encourages more oil production. At the end when I told her how disappointed I was, she merely said that my "blackheads weren't ready to come out." When I pointed out a perfectly ready to be squeezed pimple on the top of my nose, she told me that it was too close to my eye. It was on the BRIDGE of my nose! I don't know if I am more upset that the facial was so horrible or that the manager, a foot away from us as I told the facialist how dissappoined I was with the service, didn't even ask what had happened. Instead, when I went to pay, he grumbled at me about the percentage discount for a first-time customer, and just tried to get me to book another service. It's too bad the facial experience was so horrible, because just prior I got a deep tissue massage from Paula that was great. She clearly knows what she is doing and was very pleasant. It's too bad because I doubt I will go into this spa again. The space is run-down, but I can be no frills if I get good service, which overall I clearly did not.

I just had a facial with Minori and will definitely go back again. She is so caring about skin and very knowledgable. I have some medical problems with my skin and she knew all about the condition and how to treat it. I felt like I was in great, caring hands. It's a small spa but very relaxing and welcoming. If you're looking for a great, neighborhood facial, I highly recommend trying Minori at Ettia.
Pros: Technician skills, Price
Cons: Small Atmosphere

I got the busy person package that was up on citysearch and I am now hooked. The people are just great. They are very helpful. Unlike stuffy spas the people are nice. I go to a bunch of spas and most have “spa hours” where massages are only 52 minutes but not this place all my services lasted a little longer than they were supposed to and I was late to the appointment. I am really glad I chose to go to ettia’s.
Pros: salt scrub massage facial and pedicure.
Cons: not that i saw

I've had millions of facials and can tell the difference between a great one and a horrible one. Based on all the great reviews this place got, I decided to give it a try. I had just moved to the Upper West and wanted to find a local spa that offered great facials. THIS WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE I EVER MADE! I've never had such a horrible facial and felt so bad at the end. My face is now bruised and red, breaking out more than before i went into the spa. First off, the place is dirty and dingy. The room I was placed in was cramped and had dirty sheets on the bed (sneaker footprints covered the sheet at the end of the bed). I felt like the entire procedure was rushed, and they were just trying to get me out of there asap. During the extraction, my facialist used way too much pressure (hence the bruises on my face now) and did not even get my face clean (hence the further breakouts). If anything, she just aggravated the problem!! If you are a spa connoisseur like me, DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! There are definitely many other places much better than this. May be a little ways aways from the upper west, but it's worth the hike.
Pros: None
Cons: Dirty, rushed, too rough with facial
