I just came back from RK bridal and had the WORST customer services possible!! I should have read the reviews first before I bought my dress from this place. The previous reviews were correct that the lady who measured me DID order a dress one size bigger for me. As soon as I went to pay the deposit, the cashier made sure that I will remember to call and book 3 appointments for alterations. My first fitting was last Monday June 2 @ 1pm, but I've forgot and missed the appointment. As soon as I realized, I called to rescheduled and also mentioned that they did not call me to confirm my appointment. The lady on the phone replied "we don't do that'. Anyway, I got another appointment for today @ 11am, but had asked for a later time so I can go during lunch hour. But she told me 11am is the only available appointment. I got there at 11:05am and they told me my appt is at 1pm. I told them they made a mistake. They also have my name down incorrectly. I waited 20 minutes, with which with the sales lady keep telling me that she'll be right with me. But she’s actually avoiding. Then after 25 minutes I asked to speak to the manager, another 15 minutes pass and no manager. Went to the front desk and spoke to a manager. She went to find out the situation and came back to tell me that she could not help me b/c the computer has my appt at 1pm. I told her it’s only an hour away now, since I have waited for an hour already. She told me my tailor is not there yet, and no other tailor can help me until 1pm. I’m so disgusted with their service, I took my dress and left.

Hey all. I am midway through my wedding gown process. RK Bridal was the first place I went to look at dresses and it ended up being the only place I needed to go to. However, although it was pleasant enough, there are certainly downfalls to shopping here. Let me explain what I have experienced. Definitely go on a weekday so there is no chaos and the salespeople are more inclined to help you. After trying on 2 gowns, the saleslady, Olga, pulled out the *perfect* one for me. It was exactly what I was looking for. The price was very reasonable and I was just elated to find a gorgeous wedding dress for under $1000. When I went to get measured up to order the dress, the customer service took a turn for the worse. The woman was yapping on the phone while using a tape measure to haphazardly measure me. She barely acknowledged that I was a paying customer who really just wanted to get this right the first time. I am not a demanding person, but I realized that if I ordered the proper sized dress, I may be able to avoid the costly $350 alterations. However, the woman measuring me insisted that I needed a size 6 when in fact I KNOW I am a size 4. I now firmly believe she did this as a way to force me into paying more money for extraneous alterations. She also told me that the dress is not available in size 4, but when I went to the Casablanca website, sure enough, my dress is indeed available in size 4. So, now its three months later and my gown has finally arrived. I went to RK Bridal yesterday for my first try-on. Just as I predicted, the dress was swimming on me and falling off. I only have 8 weeks until my wedding day and the salesgirl told me that I would need to rush the alterations. I am sure this means "paying a whole lot of money to take advantage of my situation which RK created in the first place." Although the gown is still stunning and I am so pleased with it, there is a bad taste in my mouth over the management's deceitful ways. Be careful and put your foot down.

Pros: Huge selection, Large space, Nice clean fitting rooms

Cons: Sneaky & manipulative, arrogant dismissive salespeople

If you want professionalism and honesty, do not go to RK Bridal. From the managers, Candy and Nathalie (sp), down to the ranks of the clerks, I have experienced nothing but rudeness and dishonesty from them. Once they get a deposit, you are ignored if you have a descrepancy in service and product. The salespeople were actually told by the man who is always behind the counter to walk away from me while I was trying to rectify my situation. They rolled their eyes at me and backtracked on a statement made to me, once they realized the statement would help my case, so they lied! This is supposedly a reputable company, but that is lost with the service and unprofessional people that they hire. If the managers are rude, they will breed rude sales people. Rk Bridal should read these reviews and have a workshop on customer service and professionalism. Hire an outside facilitator, because the managers need it themselves. It is ironic that all of the negative reviews that we read all state the same thing! One bad review is fine, but when you have just as many bad reviews as you do good ones, that is something to think about! hmm

Pros: No Frills Prices

Cons: Poor customer service, dishonest staff, service, No Frills Policy

If you're a bride on a budget then this is the place to go. Its certainly not a Kleinfeld's by comparison, but it's worth checking out. Its first come first serve so if you go on a busy night you might be waiting up to 30 mins to try on the gowns you've gotten off the dressrack yourself. I found the employees there were a little laxed but were pretty helpful if you have no idea what you want. They will track down a gown for you if you know the designer and style # which you can find on their website. You do get one attendant to yourself and they won't be helping other brides while attending to you. At least that's what my experience was. You can go back as many times as you want because they do have an extensive line of gowns. If you're someone who wants to be waited on hand and foot and be served tea and crumpets, this is not the place for you.

Pros: Great prices, no sales pressure, clean environment

Cons: possible wait time, can get crowded

This place is big with a large selection of dresses. It’s pretty no frills though – it feels kind of warehouse-like, so if you’re looking for a wonderful bridal gown shopping experience like in the movies, it’s probably not for you. It's not bad though if you already have a very good idea of what you want and by which designer, but I didn’t find them particularly helpful in recommending or suggesting dresses if you don’t. They did suggest a couple of designers that might be suitable for what I wanted (but weren't) but didn't go and pull any dresses for me like they did in other stores. I ended up buying my gown elsewhere, but did however come back later for my bridesmaids' dresses. All of them live out of town and they do a great ‘no frills’ service which means you just order the dresses through them and pick them up when they arrive in store - no trying on when they arrive or in store alterations though. This was perfect for what I needed and I got a great price on the Dessy dresses I ordered. Once again there wasn’t a lot of help with selecting dresses. That's not to say the assistants were unpleasant. I found the girls behind the desk, rather than on the floor, to be knowledgeable and polite. When I ordered the bridesmaids’ dresses I also ordered coordinating ties for the men and when they arrived one of the ties had a pulled thread on it. There was no problem with sending this back and getting a replacement one. All in all, good prices and fine if you are happy just to look by yourself with not a lot of help.

Pros: Good value and selection

Cons: Service

Weekends are horrendous. Seriously, don't bother going. There is quanity, but definitely no quality. One of the sales people, though she was helpful for finding 2 dresses, she lied and said that the line "Saison Blanche" is not available in their store. When I informed her that they have the entire catalog in their store, she said that they can order dresses for us, but they don't have the line in the store. Low and behold, when we made our way to the few dressing rooms, there was an entire section dedicated to that line! The staff were quite rude and didn't even hear my entire question before staying "no no no you have to sign up for the room!" we were already signed up, that's not what I was asking. Even when we asked a simple questions about what time it was, she would not answer. This is several different staff, mind you, not just one person in particular. We did not look at bridal gowns, only bridesmaid dresses. Basically there was a mob scene, too many people and not enough room for anyone. First come first serve, no catering to anything or anyone. Also, many of the dresses are outdated in their catalogs, they look like they're from the 80's!

NEVER EVER GO TO RK BRIDAL!! The service was disgusting and extremely bad. When I went to my 2nd alternation appointment, I pointed out things that needed to be fixed. And on my 3rd alternation appointment, whatever I asked on my 2nd appointment was still not done. We had to point out all the stuff again and they promised that it’ll be fixed when I come to pick up my dress. Today I went to pick up my dress and ONCE AGAIN, nothing I asked was done. It was so ridiculous. When I asked the manager (the skinny one with long brown hair), she was nasty and showed no concern whatsoever. We waited an hour and a half for them to fix up the dress. I complained about their service and all said was we’re fixing it now. But the point was that they charged me $300 for alternation, but can’t even get it done right. During this entire time, she never even apologized about their mistakes or the fact that they made us wait. It was supposed to be just all ready and I picked it up. It’s extremely poor customer service, unprofessional staff. When you try on the dress, they make you feel very welcome because they want your business, but the services after that is very very bad. The entire experience was stressful and a big disappointment. I do not wish to see another bride to go through this same kind of stressful experience. You will be stressed out from all the wedding planning and the last thing you need is to have to deal with poor customer service. Shopping for the dress and getting the dress ready is supposed to be an enjoyable experience, but not with RK Bridal. Trust me, shop elsewhere with better customer service.

Cons: bad customer service

Do your research and come here! They have what you want and everyone is very attentive and knowledgeable. RK Bridal was the third bridal shop I visited and should have been the first. They had the dress I dreamed about for $600 less than I was going to pay for it in White Plains, NY at another bridal shop. I could not believe it when Sue...(the best consultant ever) told me the dress was 1/2 off off $790! Although it was the sample it zipped right up and just needs to be taken in at the bottom, other than that it was perfect! I was gleaming the entire day knowing I saved $600! We are going back for my mom's dresses and the bridesmaids, now I can spend that $600 on the DJ!

Pros: The service is great and they actually care about you, not the sale. They listen to what you want and they are there for you and only you!

Cons: none!

I went here about 4 months ago for my wedding dress, and had a really good, helpful consultant. When I found the dress I loved, I told her I still wanted to shop a little more, which she encouraged. When I had made the decision to get the dress I went back (this was a later, busier time) and was helped immediately, no waiting! Now the dress has arrived. It was shipped in a box to my house in VA, and it came very wrinkled. (what did I expect) The dress arrived with a bag for storage, the veil I ordered (also wrinkled), and a garter was thrown in as an extra. The dress was slightly different than the one I tried on in the store, but in a good way! I think the replica in the store was just that, and the dress sent to me was exactly what I found when I googled the designer and style number of the dress. The one I tried on was a little big, this one is not. (I will be losing about half an inch to wear the dress). Since I don't live in NY, I will be getting alterations here in VA. (if you want a smooth alteration process, they don't MAKE you use theirs...) All in all, I am pleased. The experience wasn't the small boutique where you sip champagne, but I have a designer gown at a fraction of the price. There are some quirks, but I am not a bride-zilla, so I have been able to make the best of them. The dress is beautiful and it arrived on the exact day I was told to expect it.

Pros: Selection/Prices

Cons: crowded, rushed staff

I have only good things to say about RK Bridal. I ordered my wedding gown from there, as well as my mother's gown from there, and I am so, so completely happy and satisfied with the customer service and gown selection. There is such a wide variety of dresses, including bridesmaid's dresses, mother of the bride dresses, wedding gowns, flower girls' dresses, and wedding apparel (veils, tiaras, cake toppers). All the other boutiques I went to had limited dress selections and no plus sizes. RK Bridal has sizes up to twenty + to try on to give you a good idea of how the dress will look on you. A young woman named Sheryl helped my mom try on her dresses, and she was so magnanamous in the selections she chose for her that we finally ended up falling for a gorgeous gown that fit her perfectly. Sheryl took the time to run back and forth, choosing gowns that most fit the descriptions we wanted. She was so patient and encouraging with my mom, even when the gowns didn't always fit perfectly. She worked with us, and she made it fit. If you want good customer service (the best), wide selection, and plus sizes, go to RK Bridal and have the most reliable experience for one of the biggest days in your life.

Pros: The best customer service, plus sizes, wide variety of dresses, hands-on attention, big store with lots of space, get help right when you walk in, no appointments

Cons: NONE
