wasting time ang money

Savann restaurant was recommended to me from one of my colleagues. I went there with my boyfriend about a week ago, and that was a real disaster. First of all there was no busboy or waiter who understands English to help us. Our questions about the food didn’t replied. Later on I figured out, the chef was playing sort of like a chess game with his employees when we got the place. After we ordered he went inside to cook, after an hour(!), after our dishes being served, he sat down and kept playing the game. We really felt isolated at the place, and didn’t like the food at all. Wasting time and money…

This is a very nice little restaurant that anyone could become regular. Good food, comfortable setting.

I liked it very much when I took my girlfriend there. Give it a try.

I read some of the reviews and wanted to try this place. Not good at all. No charm, mediocre food, and service with attitude. Do not buy the phony reviews and go there.. you will be sorry.

Great late night happy hour on weekends

I was recommended this place for the food but, I found that their two for one happy hour help me save my funds for the whole weekend last weekend. I enjoyed myself so much I actually took my date there on tuesday night. He was happy he didn't have to spend an arm and a leg and I was happy I didn't have to leave my neighborhood for something cool.. : )

GET THE CHICKEN AND 2 FOR 1 DRINKS!!

I come to this place quite often. At least twice a week. It's definitely one of my favorite places in the city, and probably my favorite place on the Upper West Side.. So far for dinner I've had the trout, pasta, crabcakes, and the filet mingon which were all fantastic but, I just had the chicken and it blew me away!! I take food VERY seriously and I am absolutely amazed! Another reason I love this place so much, they have 2 for 1 extended happy hours. Which is AWESOME to have around in this neighborhood.. especially considering most places with happy hours here have an overwhelming abundance of frat boys, soriety chicks and incredibly bad loud music... It took me a while to find Savann but, I am glad I discovered it. FINALLY, a place I can grab a decent glass of wine!! Along with some great food, good atmosphere and DECENT music.. I definitely recommend this place!!!

• Pros: 2 for 1 Extended Happy Hours & Great Food.. OH! They have a sidewalk cafe too!!
• Cons: Have yet to find one.. I LOVE this place..

A great Neighborhood Spot with great food...

I made reservations here to eat dinner with my friends. More ended up coming then planned, and the staff was super accommodating at making our table seat more people. The service was impeccable, they were very attentive and the food was excellent. The drinks were great. They have happy hour every weekends late night, which made for more fun between friends. They did an outstanding job. (not to mention great atmosphere,friendly service and the cute manager!) We will be definitely coming here again!

Can't say enough about this restaurant. Try it and see for yourself.

worst food in manhattan!

I am local and had invited friends to eat here... service was inefficient, poorly managed... food didn't come for almost an hour.. just when we were thinking of leaving they started to serve us and some of the dishes were cold!

i ordered medium well tuna... it was overly overdone and was out of microwave and so dry... i was embarrased fpr takign my friends there!

What a Difference!!!

This is the second time that i have been there after they start changing the place but its a big difference service got better already and food is amazing,like the first time.This young man name gogo doing really good changes when i talked to him he says''Turkish cuisine is one of the best cuisines in world"Highly Recommended.I used to be his regular customer when he was a bartender(just want to be honest)

Delicious!!!

I was walking around looking to sit by myself and have a glass of wine and get something to eat than i saw this small cozy restaurant called savann and i went in, they were so nice to the young guy from TURKEY was helping me alot than he intoduce me with the chef they were so fun and helpful to me i loved it.

Good food...so-so service

Some travel books bill this as a French restaurant...wouldn't call it French, but the food is excellent. Unfortunately we had to rush through our meal to make it a show. The service left a little to be desired. Not sure if it was just a language barrier or if our server was really that bad. Overall we would both recommend.
