the best food in the upper west side

my family and I ate here the other night. i had the best flank steak I`ve had in along time. my brother had the black linguini with seafood and spicy tomato sauce was exellent also. my whole family was very happy with what they got. the service was exellent . the prices was very resonable.it`s a good place to eat.check it out and don`t listen to the negative review

best brunch and dinner

I have been to monaco for brunch and dinner several times and it always been great. I always get banana nut pancakes and my wife usally get salad with nova scottia smoked salmon which comes with really good warm potato pancakes and sour cream on top she always been very happy with her choices too. the coffee is really good. we' ve been to monaco twice for dinner. the first time I had special Rissotto with wild mushrooms and grilled shrimp on top. that was amazing. the second time i got lamb tagine with chickpeas onion raisin sauce.was very tasty exellent food. I also really like the atmosphere it's adorable and cozy!

HUGE RAT IN DINING AREA

HUGE RAT RUNNING AROUND IN DINING ROOM. BUSBOY CAUGHT IN TOWEL THAN THREW RAT OUTSIDE. NOW I KNOW Y PLACE IS ALWAYS DEAD. GREAT PLACE IF UR A FAN OF EATING WITH DISEASE INFESTED RATS

Fast n delicious brunch!

This place does a great brunch! And the dinner menu looks really good, too. I'm going to go back to try the lamb tagine for sure!

nice place

Wonderful place! I visited recently with my wife and our two children for brunch and had a great experience. They were very accommodating since we had children and even brought them things to color. Also the food is spectacular! I had the egg white omelette and my wife had the Moroccan eggs benedit my childrens order strawberry nut pancake -- all was delicious!

It was a great cozy place -- will definately be back soon

upper west side gem

I've been living in the upper west side for years and Monaco is my favorite place in the neighborhood. It's changed a lot over the years, the food has gotten better and better, the decor is colorful but not overwhelming. The cafe is a fantastic place to hang out! My favorite dish is the lamb tagine, with raisins and onions and couscous. Definitely worth a trip.

great food & service

When I first walked in I really liked the atmosphere I ordered the Greek Salad with Chicken. It was very good! Pretty big size too! My friend ordered the Kobe burger which was a perfect burger! One of the best I've had in a long time! The service was very good! Very friendly! Very nice Monaco

Hidden Gem

I was walking down Amsterdam Ave looking at menus for someplace to eat. The menu looked good but not great and as I was about to walk to the next restaurant I heard some amazing music so I decided to get a drink. Boy am I glad I did. The music was outstanding! So I ordered a couple of appetizers and was knocked off my feet. I was expecting fried calamari and was pleasantly surprised with a wonderful plate of grilled calamari with a white been salad. Remarkably similar to a dish I had in Nice that my wife and I absolutely loved! It was perfectly cooked (my mouth is still watering) just delicious. Now for the criticism - the waiter was a travesty. He was just told us he was a comic and procedded to tell bad joke after bad joke. Hey just leave us alone and let me enjoy my food. To the point that another waitress excused him from the table. For such a great hidden gem I hope the owners read this and get rid of this guy. You have a great spot don't let this shmuck ruin it. A guy like this can destroy a business.

AMAZING FOOD!

a friend toldme to go to MONACO after he had dinner - i live on the east side and went allthe way to the west side to see what he is talking about with my friends.

i had such a good time with my friends enjoing the most worm welcome by such a nice people

the food is so good i may say exelent as my profashion is food:)

we had dinner and also got back for amazing brunch

this place and this food must be visit

the prices are very good

thank you monaco for good food and great time .

i will visit you now every week

Simple, but quite good

For a neighborhood place, they've got really good food. An interesting menu, some nice appetizers, and tasty main courses. I particularly enjoyed the chicken tagine, which I would go back for anytime.
