Comming from an Upstate Guy..they got good wings
by waseemc at Citysearch
Being originally from the Utica area...i am spoiled on good wings. I must say..that Blondies does a great job with theirs. They are fried the right amount and they are completely tossed and drenched in sauce. I mean these are some real wings that you will need a napkin after each one. They have 4 levels above hot (Smoking,Scorchin', Sizzlin, and Ouch!)..i stick with Scorchin..good heat and still the taste. A nice order of Waffle fries with cheese on the side is a good bet to. Its worth a trip for wings..trust me.
- Pros: Wings
- Cons: No Happy Hour Specials..none that I know of atleast
Great Wings!
by naturalmystic1130 at Citysearch
I usually go to Blondies in the afternoon after school and order two pitchers of beer and a 50 piece bucket of wings. The variation of degrees of hotness as well as flavors such as the garlic wings surprise me coming from a sports bar. Lately I've been going there about 2 times a week. I have never had anything less of a great time. I met Maggie (I think that was her name) for the first time and thought she was amazing. She was personal, but not too personal. It was great.
Usually the only time I would get annoyed would be when I would be ready to leave. Bus boys would rush us out and start picking things up from the table while I am still eating. I don't know if this is what management urges them to do so they can have the table but it is really annoying. It's also irritating when they are like that at 4 in the afternoon and we are the only table there.
- Pros: Great Wings, good service
- Cons: Bus boys
Great wings / Great service
by Acat10024 at Citysearch
I've eaten and watched sports at Blondies over two dozen times and the staff/food have always been great. Don't go to a sports bar and oprder a salad and you won't be dissapointed. Stick with their wings, chicken sandwiches, fries and blue moon beer. Plus the staff really are great.....
- Pros: Wings, pitchers of beer, tvs
Beer, wings, and tons of flat-screens--what more could you ask of a sports bar?
by Contributor at Citysearch
TV sets airing the big game line every inch of this narrow Upper West Side pub--the brainchild of two enterprising Playboy bunnies and their flight attendant friend. The ceiling displays T-shirts from various fire companies throughout the U.S. The decor is otherwise unremarkable, with plain brick walls, a long bar, and an adjacent table-service area, which also features several oversized booths. Sports fans stop by to wind down after work or gear up for a Saturday night with some good, semi-clean, all-American fun. Glasses are constantly being refilled and the staff is friendly and competent.
Beware of delivery guys
by ilovefood22 at Citysearch
Food is no better than you average bar food, so the condescending attitude an terrible customer service can not be explained.
Buyer beware, the delivery guys will walk away with your credit card. If they do, be aware, Blondie's will NOT send them back with it. They will tell you how it is your fault, and make no attempt to do the right thing.
- Pros: Decent Wings
- Cons: Terrible service
Enjoy yourself... that is if the staff approves.

Nothing you can order here you can't get anywhere else. Careful to not put anything in the jukebox the bar staff disapproves of, they will single you out and skip your songs without a refund. Then somehow swear loudly and act surprised when they recieve a lousy tip equivalent to the service and treatment you recieved. Thanks for a great birthday Blondies (sarcasm)
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Small, empty on a Friday night, Lousy service
Ideal UWS spot for brews, wings and friendly neighborhood feel
by ld2232 at Citysearch
I've been to a lot of sports bars in NYC and most are simply too rundown/frat-like or trying too hard to be upscale....Blondie's hits it just right with the perfect combination of consistently great bar food (wings, burgers etc.), a clean comfortable space, new flat screens (finally!) and a staff that makes you feel at home. It's the consummate neighborhood bar and if you are staying in...they also deliver!
- Pros: Clean, good eats, nice staff, cool All American crowd
- Cons: Gets packed - get there early on game day/nite
Shotty Service But Good Wings
by b00pi3flak3s at Citysearch
Blondie's seems to be the sports destination of many alumni chapters from major universities, probably because of its immense space with multiple televisions all over the place making it ideal for group parties. The service is not the best, our "blondie" waitresses have on more than one occasion been snooty or slow in getting what we ask for and have even bickered about receiving a 15% tip. The food is typical bar menu type stuff, but Blondie's is known for their cheap wings, which are quite tasty. Drinks are not cheap, a standard mainstream beer could run you $5 or more and cocktails are typically $10 and up. Come here for the games, but don't let the alcohol and food sneak up on your bill.
- Pros: Food, TVs, Spacious
- Cons: Service, Prices
Ohio State Bar follows the path of Maurice Clarett
by jon_4096 at Citysearch
Just like the once-great Maurice Clarett, Blondie's was a great place to eat wings and drink beers with friends. Now, profit is the clear driver, the old charm is gone. For beer at adult club prices ($5.50 per Corona), emaciated wings, and sad salads, try Blondies. They put a lot of money into flat screens, cut the quality of the food and raised the prices...New Yorkers are too smart for that.
- Pros: Great TV's
- Cons: Food lousy, beer insultingly priced
Wings
by armybrat07 at Citysearch
I usaually order mine in and watch the game at home or at bourbon ST, the wings and bar food are the best on the westside of manhattan.
- Pros: Wings, Chicken chesse steaks, and Wings
- Cons: Crowded during the games
