Very Nice Hotel. Great location

Stayed with my wife at Excelsior Hotel recently and had a great time. Very nice hotel, clean rooms and excellent location near Central Park. It was especially perfect because we didn't want to stay in the noisy midtown area. Excelsior is in a real nice neighborhood. The staff is very friendly and accomodating as well.

The Scene
There's a reason why guests keep returning to this Upper West Side hotel. The moderately priced rooms, a superb location next to Central Park and the Natural History Museum, and its many perks make it a favorite among tourists and business visitors. The historic building has been a hotel since the 1920s. It was fully renovated five years ago.

The Details
It's easy to forget about the disappointingly small rooms when such great services and surroundings are at your fingertips. Indulge in the extensive concierge offerings, which include baby-sitting arrangements. Or bask in the exquisitely designed lobby, crammed full with decadent chandeliers, marble floors and faux 18th-century French furniture. Guests are guaranteed to leave satisfied. At $19.50 per person, the buffet breakfast is pricey, but it's delicious.
