Something new, something really good!

The food was creative and flavorful. I especially enjoyed the Onion Potato Tart, different and delicious! My dinner party was treated well, the service was really good and the staff friendly. You do get just the right amount of food for the money...I will be going back!
- Pros: located near other great restaurants in the area
- Cons: since it is located on the UWS, parking is going to be tricky

Loved it! I had the cocopnut shrimp appetizer and the grilled ribs
!! excellent. Our wait staff was great - not too intrusive but also gave great service at the same time. I went here with my coworkers and boss for a power dinner and the food was just delicious.
Great place to take a date. The food is tasty! A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
- Pros: food

good food and music was an added bonus

My wife and I happened upon this neighborhoody place while walking around uptown. The food was great with unusually large portions considering the reasonable prices. The fried chicken was exceptional and the salmon was above average. The service was good just because the staff were being themselves and just plain friendly and courteous. They had live music and the jazz was great. The music was a fusion of funk and tradtional jazz. The musicians were young with a young crowd. My wife and I got to talking with one of the musicians and they did a jam session at the end. So I actually got to sit in and play a little guitar (i am also a musician). So overall, we had a great evening.
Not Good

I received a new menu in the mail today. Decided to give this uneven place another try. Big Mistake! Ordered the Chicken Marsala with spinach. It arrived in record time. One dinky piece of bread, lukewarm mashed potatoes and SAND GRIT in the fresh spinach. I called the restaurant to advise them of the grit in the spinach. First women on phone puts me on hold as she is going to speak with kitchen (???). Second women on phone listens to my complaint and offers me new food. It's already almost 9PM. I tell her I don't want new food I just wanted to let her know about grit in fresh spinach. She proceeds to tell me she can only offer me new food. I tell her I don't want it I just want her to know about yucky spinach. She then tells me "well no one else has complained about the spinach"...UNBELIEVABLE. Just tell me "thanks for making me aware and taking the time to make the call!" Customer service is a thing of the past and shame on her!

I get take-out from here once every few weeks. You can't beat the nachos or the blackened burger. They have specials for Columbia students. The specials are unique and fabulous! I went here for my birthday, too and the atmosphere was romantic.
- Pros: Quick to Go, Nice staff

My boyfriend and I both enjoy dining at this restaurant. The food is excellent and decor is very pleasant. Among many great food choices, I recommend skirt steak and Maryland crabcakes. As a special perk, they have live jazz every Saturday night. Definately worth your time!
- Pros: food, ambiance, live music
