The Scene
As you walk through the front doors of this hotel, a waft of air freshener smacks you in the face. This isn't such a bad thing, considering the bustle of Broadway just outside. The friendly staff and ultra-fast check-in are notable.
The Details
All of the 110 rooms are quiet, comfortable and include a large selection of cable TV channels for traveling couch potatoes. Decor is discreet and tasteful, with dark wood headboards and muted colors. There isn't a restaurant located in the hotel, but the next door Key West Diner will deliver its hearty American fare to your room.
Just what we needed

Hotel Newton is a great, inexpensive hotel. We had a one bedroom suite and the room was huge, especially for what we paid. I loved the neighborhood, very safe and extremely convenient. There are lots of little shops and restaurants all around, but it's quieter than midtown. And since it's right by an express subway stop, you can be in Times Square in under 10 minutes. I loved this hotel and am planning on staying there the next time I'm in town!
- Pros: inexpensive, convenient, big room
- Cons: slow elevator
clean friendly hotel

Stayed four nights with no negative experiences. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay at the hotel again. The location is very convenient to the subway and the neighborhood is OK. A supermarket is located very close. Their package of TV channels offered is poor. If you want to kick back at night drinking a Bud while watchin' ESPN, forget the ESPN part.
- Pros: clean, friendly
