What happened?
by New Yorker at Citysearch
What happened to these guys? They ran a great business with amazing food and prompt service. Then one day they just closed. No notice, no signs, they even still have the takeout menus on the door!
What happened to this amazing restaurant?
- Pros: Everything
- Cons: They're closed!
Love it....

I am wondering how the other reviewer acted to get hurried out of the restaurant. Our food came out super quick and was delicious. The price is higher than other Chinese places, because it is more than just your average corner place to get fried rice. I personally plan to go back again, and again.
- Pros: Delicous Food, Fast Service
- Cons: Dumplings are not their strong point.
Poor customer service

I called from florida to set up a lunch for about 20-30 people and was offered no help what so ever to set up the meals, did not offer any specials or price specials very poor service for someone coming in from out of town to plan a lunch.
- Pros: close to where i needed it to be
- Cons: was unable to order do to poor communication
service very rude, the food was just so so...

I don't think the waiter was that busy, but he's kind of always in a hurry, has to throw everything that does not contain any liquid to us, the menu, the chopstick...
- Pros: authentic wise, slightly better than average
- Cons: worst service, pricy compare with other chinese restaurant that serve the same.
don't waste your time
by madatwu at Citysearch
first off, when I called to place my order, the woman was rude and gave me a hard time about using a credit card. An hour later, my food hadn't arrived, so I called to check the status, and was told it was on the way. I confirmed my number and address, just to make sure. An hour and a half later, I still hadn't gotten my food. I called again, and the woman who picked up started yelling at me, saying I had given her the wrong number, my address didn't exist, that I was wasting her time, and then hung up on me. It wasn't worth the minutes it cost to call and place the order.
- Cons: Never got my food!
Just great

Great food, great service, great value! Don't know what else to say besides the fact that this place is far beyond any other chinese food restaurant that I've eaten at. Waiters are knowledgeable and will help you find dishes that work together.
Best Szechuan in NYC

My boyfriend and I absolutely love The Wu! I'll schlep from the UWS anytime to eat at Wu Liang Ye on 86th St. Try the Sichuan pork dumplings, the Chengdu wontons in broth. the Dan Dan noodles, and the shrimp in garlic sauce (you'll never again settle for gloppy brown Chinese restaurant garlic sauce). The service is attentive and very polite. Now if they'd just open a west-side branch ...
- Pros: Fantastic spicy food, Good service, never a wait
- Cons: avg. atmosphere
A Big Step Above...
by glowitt at Citysearch
...the average Chinese restaurant. The menu is extensive and filled with unusual and sophisticated dishes. The service is always attentive, the waiters make great recommendations, and they are always willing to accommodate special requests. Somehow, the bill always seems to be less than I expect. The room is a little bland, but so what; the food is the reason to go.
- Pros: Great Menu, Quality Food, Good Service
