Go to Tin Lizzie's only if you want to be called a "terrible person" by the bartender. Yes, that's a direct quote. After a mixup with credit cards, which was more than resolved, my friend and I were told "never to come back and that we were the worst customers the bar has ever seen". This is after myself and about 15 friends gave them great business for 4+ hours AND a 90% tip at the end of the night. I then found a manager to try and resolve the situation, which was no help. He blew me off and acted like nothing happened. Even after writing a letter a few days later, I received no phone call or apology back, which I more than deserved. I will never go back to this bar or encourage anyone to do the same. They may have good music, but they need basic lesson in customer service and simple manners before I would ever think about going back.
Pros: great variety of music
Cons: TERRIBLY RUDE BARTENDERS AND MGMT NOT HELPFUL!

Had the best time at Tin Lizzies. If your in the city and want to have a great time its definately the place to go. Hot bartenders... especially this guy jt who always hooks you up and looks good doing it. He has to be the hottest bartender in the city and is there every saturday night that ive ever been there. Definately recommend Tin Lizzies for a good time!
Pros: Great Drinks, Good Music, Hot Bartenders
Cons: You'll get really drunk

went here last night for my birthday and had a great time -- Dj played fun songs all night (hip hop, pop, etc) drinks were cheap and strong. dont go out very often in manhattan because everywhere either has a snobby attitude or is a pub -- but tin lizzy was definitely a blast
Pros: strong drinks, music, crowd
Cons: someone stole my jacket

I have been to Tin Lizzy a few times and I've always managed to drink a nice amount at a great price. Very chill and laid-back atmosphere. Bartenders EXTREMELY friendly and entertaining. Doormen can be a little pushy though. I spend last New Year's Eve there and it was a blast! I return whenever I I want a guarenteed fun night out.
Pros: Great, chill bar
Cons: kind of small and the crowd gets big!

The most enjoyable nights/early mornings spent on the Upper East Side are at Tin Lizzy. The crowd is friendly and attractive but NOT pretentious. The familiar music makes it impossible to sit still (and hear the next day), and the drink prices are extremely reasonable...plus the bartenders will occasionally give away a round of shots to keep a smile on your face. If you can't have an awesome night here, you probably couldn't have a good time anywhere.
Pros: Fun crowd, Friendly bartenders
Cons: Music is too loud

Overall - it's a fun place w/ LOTS of dancing. The DJ was great. Could've used a little more air conditioning but the booze took care of that. Averagely priced. Definitely recommended if you're tired of the trendy, pretentious crowd.
Pros: music, fun crowd
Cons: little too hot

I usually to Mad River and Brother Jimmy's but this place was a really good alternative. The music was too loud (my ears were ringing the next day) but it was really fun. Everyone dances, the music selection was great and as the night goes on, people get more and more crazy. I went with boyfriend but will definately leave him home next time I go here!
Pros: Good Music Selection, Good Crowd, Dancing

Although the music WAS incredibly louder than average, the tunes were classic 80s, great to sing and dance to! I am definitely as un-Greekish as it gets and I totally dug this bar...really friendly girls and guys, laid-back atmosphere, cheap drinks make this bar just a great, fun way to cap off your night. Dancing was open and inclusive-- everyone kind of "joins in"- I definitely recommend this for someone to try at least once!
Pros: Good Music, Laid-back, Friendly
Cons: , Incredibly Crowded

This bar could be fun. It has a fair sized dance floor, two bars to work, fair priced drinks, and no cover charge. Unfortunately, it is overly packed with frat boys and sorority girl grads and wannabes who lurch around drunkenly (not in a good way) and think they are dancing. They make the dance floor more of an annoying bumper car experience, rather than energetic and sexy. Unlike other reviewers, I like the 80s mix of music but on the two nights I was there, the music of was so loud I could barely hear my friends and talk to ladies. I am used to "club" decibel levels, but this was ridiculous.
Pros: dance floor
Cons: frat house crowd, too crowded
