In a world where laughs are needed more now than ever, Comic Strip Live delivers every time. It's definitely the place where you can go to forget about everything, enjoy a nice drink (actually 2 nice drinks), get a quick bite to eat and laugh, laugh, laugh, laugh. The laughs are good for the soul and it's much cheaper than Prozac!

I took my wife here for our 6 year anniversary. We came on a Thursday night to avoid a busy night and it turned out to be packed. The following combination made my anniversary perfect: great comedians, great food, strong drinks and a candle light table. The waitress gave my wife a rose and told her it was from me. I've never seen anything like this and that made my night end on the most perfect note. Thank you Comic Strip for a great night- My wife and I plan on coming back every year for our anniversary.

I went here last weekend and it was hilarious!! I've been to the comedy cellar too but this place was a million times better. The host was sooo funny! The only downside is that for a couple of 2 you aren't going to walk out spending less than $80...it's worth it though!!

Pros: sooo funny! better than others in NY

Cons: a bit expensive...$40/per person

We always have a blast when we go to the Strip (as they call it). The reviewer below must have gone to another club by mistake because his description sounded nothing like the Strip. This club is famous- it's the club where Chris rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler, Lisa Lampaneli and many others got their start her. It it the quintescential new york comedy club and the acts are always at the top of their game. Plus, this club always plays professional acts all the time. Some clubs put amateurs on, but not the renowned Comic Strip. I've said enough- GO it's the best comedy club in the city. Wew found the Strip years ago by asking a few bartenders what the best comedy club in the cuty was and the concencous is the Strip (All but one said the Strip) so be ready for one of the best comedy shows of your life.

I have been going to Comic Strip Live for about 7 years now and I always have a great time when I go. The comedians are always funny and although the place is small, its a very intimate setting.

After having a week from hell I NEEDED to laugh. The Comic Strip gave me just what I needed. I laughed the entire time I was there and forgot about my week, even the waitress was funny- I went by myself and didn't feel strange. The entire experience was very comfortable and I look forward to going back. I recommend to everybody-

I went to the Comic Strip for a 10:30 show on a Saturday night and I wish I would have stayed home & saved my $$$$. The cover is $20 and there's a 2 drink minimum which doesn't seem so bad until you see the menu and the beers are $10!!! Even in NYC that's a bit high. And when we got our bill we were charged tax on the cover charge!!! Who does that?!?!?!? It's even rare to be charged tax on drinks in a bar. The Comedians were okay, but the staff was rude and pushy from the moment we walked through the door. If you're looking for a few laughs DO NOT come here, there are many other comedy shows in town.

Pros: Comedians were pretty funny

Cons: Way too expensive, rude staff
