We stayed at the Gracie Inn Hotel over the holidays. We had a great time in New York, and my stay at the Gracie Inn was excellent- especially because we stayed in the penthouse. The hotel is a few blocks from Central Park, great restaurants around every corner, and very accessible to public transportation- including subways and buses.
We wanted to see the tree after a long day of shopping in Soho, so we hopped on a great bus that went south on York avenue, across 57th street, and dropped us off at Rockefeller center. The staff was super helpful in helping us with the best transportation routes around the city.
This is a great hotel for anyone visiting New York. If you're looking for something less traditional in New York, check out the Gracie Inn Hotel. Looking forward to our next trip in the Spring!

I found the staff to be exceptionally knowledgeable of the City which made my stay extra enjoyable. A great value, highly recommended.
Little piece of old New York

Quaint hotel that feels more like your own personal apartment than a monotonous hotel room. Lovely hallways lined with simple yet smart antique prints. Beautiful neighborhood to take walks in, train is nearby and make sure to stop at the mansion diner for the best home fries in the city. Great experience with the staff. Can't wait to go back.
An Upper East Side Sanctuary

Where to start. First, the three highlights. I love that the rooms are full apartments. Next best, I love the basic, yet nutritious, gets you out the door with a smile, delivered to your room at your time pre-designated time breakfast. Last, but not least, I appreciated the staff that works really hard to help you out. They try to think of things before you do. If you like humor, they'll go there with you. If you want to be left alone, you won't need to ask.
This is a true apartment building. It's not the Hilton with everything pre-planned and logos everywhere. It feels like your own apartment. Even had an impressive collection of books in our room. Don't expect things to be perfect. Enjoy the character and charm instead. We had a few friends over for wine and cheese then went to a local diner, open all night.
The proximity to the East River, the park, the running path is key. It's 5-10 min to the 456 subway line so it's not far from most of the city. If you're driving, it's SUPER easy if you travel North, 10 min from Triboro.
Gracie's well worth it. I will stay there again. My Mom & Dad, friends, business guests will all be staying there next time too.
- Pros: Lots of space, apartment style, delightful, attentive staff
- Cons: Rooms have character, not pristine. I liked this.
Bed & Breakfast, Hidden GEM in the city!
by RHIphotography
Usually when in the city I expect to pay twice as much for what I just experienced at the GRACIE INN located on the upper East Side! I really enjoyed my stay at the INN, it was very quiet and cozy. The decor allowed me to come home to the room and relax after filling my day with the hectic city chaos. I was actually asked, what I wanted for Breakfast, instead of getting whatever they had on hand. A 1st in my book! The manager 'Daniel' was a great help providing me with some great dining experiences that were truly unforgettable! 'Arturos' was delicious and just 3 blocks from the Inn. Overall a great experience, they really go out of their way to make you a home away from home!
- Pros: Quiet, Cozy, Comfortable, Country Decor, Attentive Staff!
- Cons: 5 Blocks to the Subway!

Great Inn!

We stayed at Gracie Inn on our recent trip to NYC. We loved staying in a real NYC residential neighborhood. We have always stayed down in midtown with all the chaos during the day, and then everything is closed at night. Staying at Gracie, allowed us to be in a great neighborhood..just a few blocks from the Metropolitan Museum and Central Park. It was our favorite trip to NY, and we've been numerous times over the years. I recommend this Inn to anyone coming to NYC! Great rooms, great location and the staff was very professional.
- Pros: Professional staff and great rooms
Lovely Inn on Upper East Side

My husband and I come from the land of quaint bed and breakfasts. It was wonderful to come to the city and find a clean and charming inn for such a good price. Breakfast in bed made us feel right at home! I highly recommend it!

This Charming Inn is perfect for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of midtown. I found The Gracie Inn very clean and very quiet. I also was not expecting the elevator or WiFi
- Pros: Breakfast-in-bed
