HORRIBLE Tanning salon

This salon is a good place to stop to use their bathroom but if you're looking for a tan..DO NOT come here. Staff is mostly unhelpful..with the exception of one person...lotion dispensers are broken,..,most machines are only partially working...and on top of it all...they dont change their bulbs so they dont make you tan...SUX.

HE CREATES THIS ENVIRONMENT WITH THE WHOLE STAFF AND YOU FEEL LIKE YOU WALKED INTO YOUR OWN FAMILY.....A TOUCH OF LOVE. THE BEDS ARE SUPERIOR AND IMMACULATE! YOU ALSO GET FREE TANNING LOTION EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU COME, AND YOU CHOOSE WHICH TANNING LOTION IS BEST FOR YOU! WHO DOES THAT? FOR ME IN THIS ECONOMY THAT HELPS A LOT! GO, YOU WILL THANK ME!!!!!! Excellent, Clean, Knowledgeable i luv it

I am very impressed with this place and have gone for a year now. It's always very clean and sanitized, the place is inviting, the staff is always friendly and extremely knowledgeable on tanning but non-pushy in terms of sales. I would recommend it to anyone. Also, the prices are completely reasonable, and if you can go in the morning hours (when it's least busy anyway), you pay $18 bucks and they always give you a free tanning lotion!!

Very Traumatic Experience

I bought a package with this company awhile ago, and although they were very expensive, the tanning was always decent even ig the wait and the staff was not. Not too long ago though, I went in to tan and I accidently left my diamond ring and earrings on one of the little tables next to my bed. As soon as I got to the street I realized and turned back. There was a girl cleaning the bed and my jewelry was gone. When I asked her where she put my jewelry she of course hadn't seen it. The managaer was a bumbling idiot and I have since filed a complaint with Better Business. If you have to tan do it somewhere where they have honest employees.

Best Electric Beach in Manhattan

Don't waste your time at other tanning salons (esp. Beach Bum - YUCK). At the UES location, staff are friendly & helpful, there's virtually no wait time & the place is immaculate. Plus: you don't need a degree in figuring out the sophistication of all the various types of tanning beds, because there's only one type, which is the GOOD one! Free Lotion, too!

Originally from Ohio, I find it hard to find a reasonably priced tanning salon in NYC. I came across Solar salon and read nothing but good reviews about customers' experience with the service. Having not tanned in 2 months, I decided to try it out. Saying I was impressed with the experience would be an understatement. The service was quick and professional, and the tan looked incredible. Daliza was extremely nice and made my experience very comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend Solar salon and will definitely return.

Same here i love it overthere!!!

Same here I don't know how Dapaul had a bad experience because this place is great, the girls are very nice & friendly and the new manager is the best (Rudy I think). The place is very clean and cozy it is not that big but comfortable enough, if there?s a wait it isn't long. The machines are great you get a tan after your first visit. The price on the package I got is $15 a session plus they give you a free lotion every time you come in there. I really recommend this place, not to mention that it is in a convenient area on the eastside.

Dapaul does not know a good salon when he sees it!

dapaul is not a reliable source. He/she obviously has no idea what he is talking about. The salon is extremely reputable, changes bulbs more often than any in the city (use caution!!) and the staff is extremely knowledgeable if you bother to talk to them! I have had nothing but positive experiences there both before and after the move, and the facility is IMPECCABLE!! Please disregard this obviously vindictive review and try the salon for yourself!
