Superb Service

I just returned from a grooming with Barry at Metropets and he was extremely caring and kind. My dog was nervous and thrashing about a nail clipping and Barry went above and beyond in care, cleanup and patience with my pet. The owner of the shop was also great - he helped me find the right harness and spent extra time sizing it for me and rewarding my pup with treats.
I highly recommend this shop to pet owners in the HK hood.
Thanks guys!
- Pros: Excellent, caring groomer; superior customer services; wide variety of organic foods

I've been taking my littlr yorkie to metro pets for about a year now for grooming and haven't been disappointed once. The groomer, Barry, is wondeful and very caring. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a groomer in that area.

The Staff here is uniformly great, especially Maria, who can give you really good ideas about caring for your cats. They have helped my kitties lose weight and stay healthy, and have given me excellent advice at every turn. Great selection of food and toys, too. Plus, my girls were adoptees from their window back in '02. Just an all-around great neighborhood place.
- Pros: Friendly, Caring Service
- Cons: Just Average Value

Really great selection and prices. They also carry the better dogfood brands and are knowlegeable about them. I think they may be getting new management soon, but I really hope they continue carrying the same great brands. Fingers crossed!!
- Pros: Prices, Variety, Great Staff!!
- Cons: Changing owners--so who knows what will happen next!!

My two Brussels Griffons have gotten very good haircuts several times at this very convenient shop. The prices are competitive with other groomers but at this location my suggestions are attentively listened to and used to give my pets the cut I desire. I am very pleased with the level of courtesy and responsiveness and the easy scheduling available to meet my sometimes difficult agenda.
PROS: Great Grooming and attitude
CONS: I can't honestly find anything worthy of complaint
Very pleasant place to shop.

Prior to visiting metropets, I had only ever shopped in Petland stores. Petland has huge stores with basic supplies for fish/snakes/rodents/etc.., and staff that generally is not very helpful or interested.
Metropets is dog/cat oriented, with very very friendly, interested staff, and more selection within one area, like carriers. For anything other than food, I will be returning.
- Pros: staff love animals

This convenant small shop is located in the heart of midtown's Hell's Kitchen. It offers a wide selection of pet accessories, foods, toys, clothing and grooming service. It is a good experiance and a friendly enviornment. The only complaint I have is that their items are slightly overpriced. They also are very set in their beliefs on organic products and may try to convince you to clean out your pet food cabinent and start fresh.
PROS: Convienant Location
CONS: Slightly overpriced

If you live in the W. 40s and dont have time to walk to Spoiled Brats, this pet store will meet most of your needs. Its a bit crowded and the floors look a bit pawed on. I wish the salespeople were a bit more helpful. And you're definitely not going to find a bargain here. However, they carry some cool items, including Arthurs Stinky Dog Mits and Paw Wipes.
PROS: location, convenience
CONS: cramped space, a bit impersonal

Metropets is a sweet store. I shop there often for my own little guy. I like that they donate their front window display space to strays... And really, their prices are always good!
I get all kinds of treats there. Flossies and stuff. And the guy behind the counter is always very knowledgeable!
- Pros: courteous, efficient, smart
- Cons: busy traffic area
