User Reviews for Precision Photos

Yes precision photo used to be a reputable business but not anymore. The owner Michael does not hold true to his word. He told my actor friends I sent there that "Actors are stupid" If I had known that i would have never returned .I was lied to and he kept my $49. deposit and no goods were delivered to me. So there you have it. I felt like I was scammed and he insulted me saying I dont need your business. It made me feel sad that he was there to take my money. I work really hard for that. Be careful!!!! I wasted too much time and energy there. I truly hope Michael sleeps well at night knowing he has taken my $49. to his bank account. He really made a fast $49. I just have to sit back and let Karma do its work. SMILE!
Pros: Reputation used to be good
Cons: Takes your money and does not deliver! Contract unclear!!

ENUF of the sophmoric, personal comments. I agree with the consumer's right to provide candid input of vendor's products & services, but let's keep City Search & it's reviews at least somewhat professional. Regarding Precision Photos.... This is a speciality industry & I learned that the owner has devoted his entire professional career to it. He also has knowledge & experience gained from an additional prior generation in this (again) very specialized technology service, & customer base. Whether the owner is "liked" or not is not the issue. The issue, and my testimonial IS - that Precision Photos offers a good, fast, professional product at a competitive price. My experiences with their photos, their counter personnel, and their owner has been completely acceptable & appropriate. Don't lose site of Precision Photo's speciality or miss out on the benefit to you. They know what they're doing & they do it well. Lisa

Hey Irateactor...seems like you have an axe to grind with the owner...I've been a satisfied customer of Precision Photos for MANY years....According to Michael, the owner, he hasn't created negatives for at least 5 years!...Get a grip...and a career...It appears that either you are out to smear Precision Photos and/or don't know what you are talking about....Why not take your anger out on yourself for a failed career instead of attacking Precision Photos as a cheap souce for quick and professional headshot reproductions. Like your screen name says...it appears you have nothing but negativity...And FYI...you have only one response...hmmm...negative user name & just one negative comment....do the math.... I have had some less than perfect customer service encounters with the owner it appears at times he has a short fuse, but considering the indensive clients he deals with, whose to blame. I've taken the liberty of forwarding this to the owner, I assume he will try to contact you.
Pros: Fast turnaround, good prices
Cons: had to wait 1/2 for a test print

I have been using Precision Photos for years, but when I went to get another batch of headshot copies made, I was told by Michael Canizares, the owner, that my negatives were not in my folder (I had at least five different negatives in it). When I asked what happened, he said that I might have taken them with me, in which I responded that I had them on file with Precision for years and that I would remember if I took them. His condescending attitude and unwillingness to to take responsibility for Precision's either misplacing them or losing them angered me very much. As a customer who has been with them for years, I expect better customer service. He did make a negative free of charge, which he should have anyway, but the condescending attitude and unwillingness to take responsibility for their screw up has made me take my business elsewhere. After talking to several other actors, they have encountered this same type of poor customer service on his part. So I will be taking my business elsewhere and of course will let my fellow actors know all about my experience. With other places to take my business, why in the world would I give my money to an establishment with bad people skills.
Pros: prices are good
Cons: customer service skills are bad.

Their retouching was great and affordable. I needed my prints quick for an audition...they said the order would be ready the next day at 5 pm, but called at 1 pm to tell me it's ready for pickup...now that's what I call customer service!
Pros: quick ready time, great retouching
Cons: had to come back to view retouching

this experience ended up costing me a lot. I lost valuable time as the precision photo 3 day job turned into a 2 week job. the color was WAY off on the comp card. the size was wrong. michael, the owner, was incredibly rude and refused to make good on a job he admitted was a disaster. run.
Pros: none
Cons: an absolute disaster. i am actually getting a lawyer to get a refund.

I was unsure which image to have reproduced and their customer service rep was VERY patient. He helped me design my picture and where my name should be placed. I couldn't believe they were able to make a test print while I waited! It took about 20 minutes and they had free coffee & internet service.
Pros: Great prices & helpful customer service
Cons: none that I can think of

I don't know about the previous 2 comments, but I just used Precision and their quality was excellent! They made a test print of my image while I waited. I picked up my copies the next day & was QUITE happy with the results. I saw another customer's retouching job while I was there and they loved it.
Pros: FAST TURNAROUND! Great Prices.
Cons: Had to wait 10 minutes to place my order with a customer service rep.

Not only is their airbrushing unnatural and overpriced, but their customer service is by far the worst in their field. The guy who owns/operates the place treats everyone, including his employees, like he's got no time for them. If you're broke as a joke, need prints fast, or really don't care how many trips you have to make (or how bad the quality will be) then definitely give these people your business. If you care, then at least go to CVS or Walgreens. They have a better reproduction department.
Pros: Inexpensive, Fast
Cons: Everything else

The title says it all. If you want to save some money in exchange for a lesser quality product, unfriendly service and the hassle of wasting time coming back again and again until the photos are ready and/or adequate then you've found your place.
