Great Sports Bar!

by DrinkingupNYC at Citysearch

I was trying to find a place in the neigborhood to go and watch the Packers game last night. We found this place online and figured that we should give it a try. Our new favorite place. Everyone was really friendly, the bartenders were cool, and the food was good. We hung out for like 5 hours even after the game ended. Really chill sports bar. I will be going back!

  • Pros: Great Bar

Great Bar, Great drinks, Great food

by WorkingAgain at Citysearch

Great place. The food and drink are reasonably priced - probably NYC's best kept secret as I doubt you coud beet these prices. Food is really good. HUGE selection of beer! Friendly customers and staff. This place is great for a night out and then to roll on in for bar food to cure the hangover the next morning! St. Patrick's Day is ALWAYS hopping here!!!!! Near the end of the parade route so it is the perfect spot for Getting your Irish on!

  • Pros: Excellent prices for food and drinks, Great atmosphere, Friendly staff, Place is hopping at night

Cheap Irish Bar

by yukster11 at Citysearch

Cheap drinks ($3.50 for a bottle of Coors Light) and I got a buyback on the 4th round. They have a lot of tv's but this is a big soccer bar so American sports unfortunately take a backseat. There's an internet jukebox towards the front but on the few times that I've been here, it's gone unused. A good place to pass the time for an hour or two.

Fun Place!

by micheleharris at Citysearch

This is one of my favorite places on the UES. The crowd is friendly - we seem to meet new people most times that we go there. And they serve food late- great cheeseburgers! Football season is crowded but it is a fun time!

  • Pros: friendly customers, great cheeseburgers
  • Cons: crowded

Finally a bar that doesn't just show NY teams!

by lisadeloretto at Citysearch

Me and my girlfriends had a good time here last week. We didn't get a seat right away but were still able to watch the Notre Dame game. The $5 Cuervos kept us around for a while too!

  • Pros: Cheap drinks
  • Cons: Didn't get a seat right away

New York's Best Kept Secret

by barguy10128 at Citysearch

Kinsale Taveren IS New York's best kept secret, day or night. Great for a mid day lunch and a beer on your day off, and you can catch a game on the many plasmas. The waitresses are beautiful and know what you want, when you come in for a repeat visit. Turns into a sports bar by night and the bartenders know your name. Coming in from JFK, just say take me to Kinsale to the cabbie. Great bar staff. They treat you right.

  • Pros: great sports choices, great food, reasonable
