Great Steakhouse and Super Service

A friend of mine told me about this out of the way restaurant on the upper east side. I really wasn't sure about it, but he said he really wanted to go.

Well, I certainly was impressed. The staff was so nice. The owner came over to the table and treated us like family. I got a skirt steak with garlic potatoes. Usually my steak comes back undercooked when I say medium, but this was just perfect. I definitely will be back.

Delicious Brunch!

Sunday brunch in the city in the summer is always a treat because its empty. This restaurant made brunch extra special. For 20 bucks up to around 23bucks you get a drink, fruit plate, muffins/cornbread and entree. We were a party of 5, everyone was happy. Highlights: skirt steak and eggs, kobe burger, blueberry pancakes.

Portions were substanitial, service and decor delightful.

Plenty of space at the table and between tables. I hate being crowded in.

Would highly recommend brunch, will come back again.

Great Food Gracious Host

We travel 50 miles to go to the York Grill. The food is great and the restaurant is lovely. Charlie Greco is the best host in the city. Going there is like being part of the family. With all of the restaurants in the city the York Grill is where we choose to go.

The One To Go To......

I live all the way out in Stony Brook LI. My wife and I go to York Grill on Special Occassions. We never worry when we bring friends with us.. Everything is always GREAT...

Fabulous food

We were in NYC under the reason of my mother being in the hospital. Each night we had to leave the hospital by 8pm( ICU policy) We were referred to the York Grill by a close friend of the family. He was on target. We spoke with the owner Tony and with a referral of our friend he graciously held a table for us even though we had no idea what time we could be there and did not have a reservation.

The service was outstanding and the food was nothing short of amazing. Every bite was just perfection. The presentation was worthy of magazine photo print. We were so grateful of the enjoyable atmosphere and evening. It made a difficult time more bearable. Thank you for your generosity. We have shared our experience with everyone we know. The world needs more people like Tony and Charlie who go out of their way for a friend of a friend. God bless you.

Fabulous Food !

My boyfriend and I were searching for something "off the beaten path" and we found it here. The ambiance was refreshing and delightful. The service was impecable, friendly, and made us feel like we were old friends. Great bargain and delicious eats for brunch menu. We look forward to retuning again soon. Enjoy !

My "Go-To" restaurant for over 10 years!

I don't even live in the neighborhood, but this remains the place I bring friends & relatives that I really want to "spoil." The food is top-notch, the service impeccable and the hosts should write THE book on hosting. Every time I walk out of there, I feel like I just indulged in one of NYC's best values. I like a lot of restaurants, but I LOVE the York Grill..

My favorite nebighborhood bar

My boyfriend and I come here at least once per week. Very often, we have a drink or 2 at the bar snacking on the mixed olives.

The staff is the friendliest of the neighborhood!

I have eaten in the dining area, but for some reason, a light meal at the bar is perfect!

Great Restaurant!

Had a wonderful time at York Grill. The food was delicious, the menu was good, and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. The staff was nice and very attentative. We look forward to coming back to York Grill. Try the Grilled Marinated Skirt Steak, it was cooked just the way I like it and was so flavorful. York Grill does steaks right!

A local gem

York Grill is a delight! This UES gem has warm hosts, helpful waiters, a great kitchen and wonderful daily specials. Their Sunday brunch is one of the best uptown. Their Prix Fixe holiday meals are an easy and elegant way to please everyone in your party without breaking the bank. An ideal place to take a client, a first date, your in-laws, or just yourself. You won't be disappointed!
