Fast and Honest

I've gone there three times. All three repairs done without problems. On my last visit, I asked them to put in a new battery, as well as replace a compressor clutch that was making a funny noise. They called me a half hour later to tell me the battery was installed. And recommended AGAINST replacing the compressor clutch. They said it was in perfect working order and the noise was indicating no problem. That was an unnecessary $260 repair that they could have done, but instead passed up the money. Love 'em!!!

Damages and more damages

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.!!! VERY BAD COLLISION REPAIR FACILITY !!! After a frontal accident I was suggested to bring my four month old 2008 luxury car to Auto Care East, Inc for the repairs. They are very nice folks. After first impression I was left with the idea that the deed will be flawless... Few days later I went to pick up the car..., well now I am left with more damages than the original repair required to fix. They scratched my "GOOD" head light and tried to cover it by using a paint polishing/buffing machine thus creating more scratches. They also scratched my rear rims when they "TRIED" to wash the car, by brushing in between the spokes with a very hard brush. On top of everything they never did the proper repair of removing the damaged front bumper and inspecting the damages behind it also they painted the bumper without removing it from the vehicle and creating over spray onto some plastic panels that require to remain unpainted which will definitely reduce the value of the car now. After addressing the issues, I was told by the agent;"..Sue Me...". Isn't this very very nice. Well I suggest you stay away from the ripoffs of Auto Care East..., they are very nice folks, they know how to talk you into a ripoff...

Best car repair in New York City by FAR

I've yet to come across a place quite like this. It has the old school appeal of a mom & pop operation & the staff is friendly & full of jokes & fun. I had the unfortunate luck of being in a car accident a short while ago & was referred to Auto Care East by my insurance company. It was convienient for me so that's where i went & I will never go anyplace else. They are a group of people that make you feel right at home. The girl in the front (Christine) was so sweet & concerned about any injuries to myself or others, she was a great ear & full of the funniest one liners I've ever heard. She has wit & humor like I've never seen before. It was overall a great experience that came out of a bad one. I highly recommenrd this place to anyone looking for an honest & reliable car repair shop. Not enough stars here to rate it high enough.

They don't know what they're doing

Called & made an appt. for a tire rotation. Got there on time but had to wait. For some reason they thought they were doing an inspection, I told them no, a tire rotation. I return 2 hours later, am charged for & given a receipt for a tire rotation, only to go home and notice that they have placed a sticker for an oil change on the interior of my windshield. I called to see what actually happened- was I given this oil change for free OR was I charged $45 for an oil change I didn't need and never received the tire rotation? They seem to think that my tires were rotated and the oil change was done for free, but I find this difficult to believe.
