BEST ICECREAM PARLOR KNOWN!

I review many restaurants in Staten Island and North Jersey and this is by far the best icecream parlor you'll ever visit. The cleanliness of this place deserves an A+, along with Egger's quality and service. The employees are young but know what they are doing. Its a relaxed environment in which you are surrounded by candies and chocolates with both the newest and oldest assortments. This truly is a wonderful place. At peak times this place is swarming with families and friends of all ages. They have enough staff to handle it as long as you dont mind waiting a minute or two. In all of the best restaurants, doctors offices, shopping centers etc. there will always be a wait, but in return will be well worth it. Once you are seated the flow of service is practically perfection and if its not there will always be someone else nearby that can help you out. I highly reccommend visiting Eggers so you can experience the joy yourself. Splurge with some extra toppings and chocolates and maybe even grap a couple of pieces of your favorite candy on the way out! Enjoy your visit, I'm sure you will!

Best Ice Cream on the Island

This old fashioned ice cream parlor is simply delicious! The service is great and the atmosphere is very welcoming. It's usually very busy on the weekends and peak season, resulting sometimes in a few minute wait that is well worth it though!

Egger's Ice Cream Parlor is Amazing!!!

Egger's definitely hands down has the Best ice cream on staten island. I love bringing my kids in there since they have such a lovely selection of candies for the young and old, plus they even have those hard to find Clark bars!! I definitelyagree with the other two reviews stated below. The staff is beyond friendly, even though the wait may be long at times to sit it's so worth it because the ice cream is all homemade and made on premises. I give all the servers a lot of credit because whenever I go in there they always are constantly busy since the place is so popular, and they do all they can to make the atmosphere so enjoyable. They definitely work their hardest at all times, and I disagree with one of the comments made down below, whenever I go in, the place looks very clean sometimes tables may be dirty but they are cleaned 1,2,3. I think if your looking for a place to bring your family and friends you should definitely stop by Egger's I promise you won't regret it =)

Best Ice Cream in the World

Ok..Let me start off by sayin, and basically agreeing all the people on Staten Island that Egger's has the best Ice cream. I think the staff is amazing. The are friendly people and handle themselves well. They need the credit which no one gives them as I see from one of the negative reviews below. Everytime I am in Egger's this Waiters and Waitresses are busting their butts trying to serve the hundreds of people swarming through their doors. So what if some tables arent cleared off and you have to wait five minutes to be served. THATS TUFF!!! They run around like animals, and i know i couldnt handle their job...COULD YOU???? (Didnt think so) As for their chocolates they are outragoeus and they have such an oldfashioned and fun environment. I recommend it to everyone and maybe I will see you in there one day...ENJOY!!!!

Eggers happens to be my second home. The ice cream is amazing with all the choices of candy and chocolates theres something for everyone. All the mangers really seem to know what there doing and most of the employees seem very pleasant. I give these girls and guy alot of credit there job it way harder than any normal wattress. they do the best they can. since eggers is so well known they get very busy and people just need to learn to be reasonble. Also they do a very good job keeping the store looking its best while they look adorable in there uniforms this is the best place on staten island

Great ice cream, poor atmosphere.

In the mood for ice cream, husband and I took a trip down to Eggers on a Saturday night at around 9:20. I hadn't been there in ten years, and my husband had never been. It looked very much the same outside and in, but with many more servers than I rememebered. Still, no one met us immediately at the door, as we followed a sign that instructed us to "please wait to be seated." We were seated within a minute or two in their (not always there) dining area, and were left with menus for at least 5-10 minutes. I don't think it takes *that* long to decide how much ice cream you want, but it was pretty busy that night; their hours are supposed to be until 10 on Saturdays, and people were still piling in by 9:50, when we left.

My husband got a strawberry shake, I got a two-scoop sundae, and both were delicious. Very good portions; even as a pregnant person I couldn't eat all of mine.

The atmosphere left something to be desired: we noticed a lot of tables that took a long time to be cleared. Tips were picked up immediately, but dishes were left on the table for at least 20 minutes before being picked up. I did not use the bathrooms, but heard from another customer that the women's one was "atrocious." Most of the workers are young high school and college students whose friends like to visit them and make a lot of noise, as well.

All in all, we had great ice cream, but would probably do take-out next time. Maybe it's better during off-peak time.

Best Ice Cream on Staten Island

Egger's Ice Cream Palor is AMAZING. I love everything about Egger's. Their ice cream is my favorite, their cakes are sooooooo good.

Great old fashion ice cream- the way it should be

This is a wonderful place to take a date or for family. It has charm and is not one of those 'other' soft serve or mashed-up ice cream places. They serve ice cream and make ice cream the way its suppose to be. There are three locations and each has its own appeal. Also wonderful speciality chocolates.

Great Ice Cream with charming atmosphere

I really love their milk shakes and their maple walnut ice cream. It's creamy. I do wish the staff would wear uniforms- something alittle more formal. Anyway, the staff are helpful and friendly. I recently tried coldstone and their ice cream is not nearly as creamy and its much more expensive..
