Michael Kay has really upset our family !

Michael Kay has really upset our family ! I am not sure if im contacting the right dept. however, i have a major problem with with the way Michael Kay talks during broadcastings. Last night for instance, i was watching the Yankee / Boston game and Michael Kay comes out with the words ( offensive ORJY ) I spelt the word wrong due to the fact that when i went to send this email your site wouldnt even let me send it cause it was an inappropiet word ! what does that tell you? He used that phrase to describe the yankees hitting during the game. What the hell is wrong with this guy , im in a room with kids watching this game while they keep asking , whats an ORJY , whats an ORJY ?? Does this guy think before he talks? I am a huge yankee fan , whole family is actually and grew up watching them with my dad. However i cant stomach this guy in the broadcast booth and the more peole i talk to sooo feel the same way ! Thank you for your time and hopefully i will get some kind of response from this email .

I'm gonna miss this place!

Sure, Yankee Stadium is not in great shape, and it's not as luxurious as newer ballparks like the new stadium being built across the street. But when you walk into Yankee Stadium, you walk into where some of the greatest moments in baseball history happened, and you really feel the presence of all that incredible history. As a Yankee fan, I always have a great time when I come to a game here, and I'm so glad I'll get to go to one more game before the end of this season. It may be gone soon, but it will always be a special place for baseball fans.

Past it's prime!!

I like Yankee Stadium but the fact is the stadium is past it's prime. Based on the shear history of who's played here and how long it's stood is monumental. But the fact is it's time to move on. The stadium concessions are few are far between and parking is a mess. Part of me loves the place but the other half can't wait for the new stadium. Greatest ballpark in the world

I've been to Yankee Stadium over 500 times in my life since I'm a season ticket holder. Even approaching Yankee Stadium you know that something special has happened in that ballpark over the coarse of it's 83 years. Walking into the stadium is like walking into a cathedrial complete with the lights that hang down from the ceilings in the concourses like chandlers. It's a great stadium, greatest fans in sports. Yankees fans get a bad rep, when you are at Yankee Stadium with 55,000 Yankees fans the attention is on baseball, Yankees fans love talking about baseball and are into the game and it's hard to fool Yankees fans because they (we) know the game so well. Very good knowledge of the game. And all of this happens in the big ballpark in the Bronx.

• Pros: Easy access on the subway, greatest fans in the world, nothing beats a baseball game at Yankee Stadium (the baseball palace in the Bronx)
• Cons: Traffic can be bad if you drive, concourses are a little tight but ok

Best time of your life

I grew up in New York and have been to hundreds of yankee games ( i am one of the lucky ones) Going to a yankee game was what we did when we were kids so it was no big deal.. I have never been to a MLB game anywhere else not even the Mets. I was lucky enough to be at a game in 95 when the Yankees returned to the playoffs after a long time! I was sitting in the RIGHT FIELD BLEACHERS. We lost the Settle that year but the headlines in the papers the next day was not about the loss it was "BLEACHERS CREATURES" I take Pride in being one of the first Bleacher Creatures! I am 35 years old and have done alot in my life I now live in Miami have traveled all over the world. Hiked in the mountains of Maui, rafted the Grand Canyon, the birth of my son ETC and NOTHING NOTHING compares to that night at Yankee Stadium!!

If you are a baseball fan you must see a game at Yankee stadium! It my book its the only place to see a game!

After Two years of not seeing a game I will be back this Sept for a Yankee - Red Sox game!

A beautifully crafted ballpark

when opposing players look on it with awe, you know a stadium has to be really special. when comparing it to the corporate named ballparks springing up nowadays, it appears limited in it's concessions. but i dare you to find any other stadium that is easier to get to than the house that ruth built. you just hop on the 4 train and your just a metrocard ride away from watching history unfold nightly. and if you feel like basking in some before the game, check out monument park as there is truly nothing like it.

closest thing to baseball heaven on earth

If there's baseball in heaven, I bet the stadium looks a lot like Yankee Stadium. Yes, it's old. Yes, it's seen better days. No, it doesn't offer the haute cuisine of the newer ballparks. But more big games have been played and won in this stadium than anywhere else. The Yankees are the winningest team in the history of American professional sports, and that alone is worth the price of admission. Take the tour of Monument Park and feel baseball history come alive. GO YANKS!

I grew up two miles from the "Big Ballpark", as Red Barber called it. The neighborhood was ugly, bit subway access was excellent, and the Sabrett's doggies were the best. To get a senses of the Stadium's history one can simply listen to the PA voice of Bob Sheppard, who has been there since I was ten years old. Better yet, recall Roger Clemens going to Monument Park to salute the Babe and Lou before his home field starts. Best of all, I was there as a CYO freebie fan the day the Mick banged a collosal rocket off the old upper deck facade, the closest thing to a fair ball ever launched out of the original park.

Great Place to See a Game

Yankee Stadium is a must see. It is great to see all the legends in Monument Park, hear the Bleacher Creatures shout role call and experience the atmosphere of Yankee Stadium. The lower part of Yankees Stadium is orginial. There is always a big crowd on hand. There are plenty of bars along River Ave.

The only negative is traffic. If you drive in, then you might sit in traffic on the George Washington Bridge for a little while. But it is not that bad. There is plenty of parking, but I would suggest finding a lot and not parking in the parking deck b/c it may take you forty-five minutes to get out of the deck. Yankee Stadium seats about 55,000 and the 2005 average attendance per game was 50,000. Also, drink at one of the bars outside Yankee Stadium b/c it does cost about $9 per beer.

The Venue
Yankee Stadium is still the best place in town (in the world?) to watch a baseball game. Whether you're perched in the upper deck, hanging out with the bleacher creatures or settling into one of the comfy box seats near the field, nothing beats nine innings at this palace of baseball history.

The Experience
The national pastime offers few experiences more poetic than a perfect Yankee Stadium summer evening, with the sun making nearby buildings glow orange and the grass shine greener than it seems to anywhere else. If you've never been to a game here, you're missing out on a quintessentially New York experience. With Mike Bloomberg in office, the Bronx Bombers' home, which Giuliani threatened to raze, has a renewed lease on life.
