I've been to F & J's a few times and the food has always been delicious. The atmosphere is great and even though you have to look for parking (unless you valet park) it is definitely worth going. My only dislike is that they don't accept credit cards. Who pays with cash anymore????? I would probably go more often if they did but once in awhile will do.
- Cons: NO CREDIT CARDS

Did I mention the food is delicious? I can't say it enough. Beautiful decor, great service and the food portions are out of this world. Totally upscale and definitely worth the time and price for a great evening.

Frank and Johnny's has unbelievable Italian food. Portions will feed you for weeks and prices are very reasonable. Every time parents come to town, we have to go to F & J's.

About 2 years ago ,I ordered several appetizers, entrees and meats for my Mom's 96 th Birthday. The food was super delicious . Everyone raved about the string beans marinara, risotto and ribs. Most of our guest had never tasted risotto or string beans marinara and they just raved on and on about it. I was very impressed , we are planning a New Years Eve affair and agreed that your establishment would be the one we choose for the refreshments. Thank you for a most enjoyable meal.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. I am now 31 and this place has changed quite a bit. I always remembered it as the italian "sports" restaurant because of all the memoribilia hanging on the walls. I think that was what I loved most, besides the food. That was before they made the "upscale" side to the left of the entrance. Over the years, the service has lacked significantly. I recall times eating here and having rude waiters who were always in a rush. I had my bachelor party here in 2006, but the service was great. Perhaps beacuse they had a party of 20? I guess I come back here once in a blue because it brings back memories of when my parents would take me here for birthdays & graduations. If you're looking to do a big party or celebration this is the place. If you want an intimate date with the girlfriend or wife, go some place else. It seems that they cater better to bigger parties than to a partiy of 2. Food portions are generous (chicken/veal parm, manicotti, Lasagna) and always tasty, so you wont go home hungry. I cant give a 1/2 star rating, so I'll give it a 3 1/2 instead of a 4.
- Pros: Big place, great ambience
- Cons: rushed service, crowded on weekends
Tasty food, Awful Service

I've come here at lunch and for dinner on weekdays and weekends. The service is often rude. At this point in NYC, that's 'nuff said in my book. Try Fratelli's on Eastchester for similar quality with better service and a more intimate feel--not that that's hard given this monstrosity of a restaurant.
- Pros: Tasty pastas, pizza.
- Cons: Expensive, wasn't seated within an hour of estimated time. Other times waiter has been insufferably rude.
Great appeziters and entrees.

The food is great, the appeziters are so good esp. the calamari. Portions are very large so be prepared to share. Highly recommeded to go to.
- Pros: food, service
- Cons: parking, needing to wait- resturant not large enough

Italian restaurant, open since 1970, competes for the Arthur Avenue crowd and serves up gargantuan portions of classic dishes like gnocchi.
Delicious! Outstanding!

F & J Pine Tavern is one of the Bronx's best secrets! Food is AMAZING...it beats a lot of places on arthur avenue and mulberry street. The decor is adorable and service is great. Went last night....the salad was perfect, eggplant was soooo good, and also the brick oven pizza rocked! Prices are extremely reasonable also. If you come to the Bronx, this is a definite place to stop at!
- Pros: Delicious Food, Reasonable Prices, Adorable Ambience
- Cons: Nothing!
