"The Kilt" has been a spot for me and my friends for some time! We come here for Monday Night Wings, Sunday to watch football, or any other day just to meet up. You cant beat the neighborhood friendly prices, and the food is awesome. Bartenders are great, and the place is just so comfertable!
Pros: Drinks, Service, Prices, Food
Cons: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

If you are looking for a good time, with great burgers & beer, this is your place! I've been going to Pipers Kilt for over 8 years and have yet to be disappointed.

I have been going to P&K's for over 30 years. Even though I now live in Central NY, I frequent the city often and have brought clients from as far away as Lubbuck Texas and Long Beach California, The response is always the same "best burger I have ever had".... I have been there in a suit and in cut offs and always felt comfortable and was treated the same! Love the brunch and it can't be beat as far as the price! I am taking a friend to a Yankee game next Saturday and that will be the stop both before and after the game. May make the Sunday Brunch as well, before we head back upstate! Highly recommend, always have found parking! You may have to walk a little!!!!!!
Pros: Burgers, Brunch and Very Cold Beer!
Cons: Still can't find any!

Me and my husband have been going here for years. The food is great, the pitchers of beer are always cold and it's always super affordable. Fun, relaxed, cool place to have some drinks, eat bad-for-you type food and have fun!
Pros: cost, service, food
Cons: no parking

For 15 years, I used to basically live at PK's on 231st . The burgers were always great; big, juicy...a lot of cow for the buck. My other favorite (echoing an earlier review) were the buffalo wings....not nuclear, but hot enough to want to chase it down with a cold beer, but not hot enough to make you stop. This place is nothing fancy, just a great place if you want to eat authentic artery clogging food. Monday nights the place is very full; the 10 cent wings are a big draw. Their Sunday brunch is good, too...on some days unlimited bloody mary's are perfect with the side of grease to clear your head. Overall, you should check it out, for some it's a haul, but because of the 1 subway a block away it's rerally convenient.
Pros: Burgers, wings, price

One of the great neighborhood bars in the city for over 35 years, serving good basic food, great sports or family atmosphere, always lively discussion at the bar and ofcourse the best burger in the city for the money. Always cooked to your liking and served with fries and the coldest beer around. Worth the trip before or after the ballgame.
Pros: Affordable, Atmosphere, Burgers

A neighborhood fixture for decades. Not just a bar but also stand up and sit down dinning. Your basic meat and potatoes eatery all nicely prepared and reasonably priced. The burgers are full flavored & juicy and comes with a creamy potato salad or fries. The kind of place you could bring the family to eat. Different sporting events on different TV sets. Don't worry about the parking. Most of the customers are local. For others a very brief walk to BX1 & BX10 bus or No.1 & 9 subway all at West 231. Always a good spirited crowd on hand. Owner also has another place (same name) at W.207th Street and Broadway in Manhattan.
Pros: Great basic menu, Good local crowd, Reasonably priced

i was introduced to pipers kilt by my college roommate who waitressed here. this place advertises for having the "best burgers in the bronx". the burgers are really good. but my favorite are the wings. definitely the best wings that i've had anywhere in the city. on monday night wings are 10cents/each. i used to come all the time for this special, but as of recently it's been too crowded and plus it's now catering to the manhattan college scene, making it much less enjoyable. however, this is a great place to grab lunch with a friend or group of people. and for the sports lovers, great place to dine while watching the game.
Pros: 10cents wing special, good burgers
Cons: parking, beer selection
