excellent food

The service was fast and very friendly. It was my first time there and i went because of its good reviews. I was impressed.The pizza was so good...it almost tastes like they use some type of greek cheese. It was different than the typical pizza definetly recommend the romanos special pie. my girlfriend had the gyro and she said it was the best shes had. After meal we had cappu. which was excellent and baklava which was good. highly recommend

the place to go for quick good food

everything i tried thus far is exceptional

service is good and staff super friendly. Don't waste your money for "food" at those overated cafes on 30 avenue.

One of best in astoria

great pizza- greatest chicken souvlaki ever. clean- -friendly -casual- they are very friendly and never rush you. Come here if you like great food with great prices in a clean place where they make you feel welcomed. Also cool when you can sit outside and eat, drink and do some people watching. No attitude here like some of these corny hip places popping up in the neighborhood.

Excellent Food

I have eaten the Gyro platter with the oven potatoes and other plates and they were delicious. The prices are great as well.

I love this place.....

tried everything at least once and its really good.

In the summer you could sit outside and have a sangria or a coffee

Gyro is awesome and so is the pizza. Delivery is prompt

Cheap and cheerful

Great pizza and salad. Not too crazy about gyros. Pizza is layered with so much cheese, if you have cheese allergy be aware of consequences. Waiters are very friendly, and amigos working in the open kitchen is very fast and funny dudes. Good place to dine if you are hungry, but don?t feel like going to one of the overpriced places on Broadway. This is true Astorian dining experience to me. Go ROMANO!!

recommend to avoid

Used to go there often but stopped after finding flies in my food on three seperate occasions. The first time it happened I gave them the benefit of the doubt, after all no place can be perfect. But on the other occasion I ordered pizza with a friend of mine and their were flies on both our pizzas which had been cooked into our food. I can only wonder what other member of the insect family might have been cooked with our food as well. Very disappointed. Don't reccomend and they should clean up their act. Avoid....

• Pros: good if you wanna train to be on the show fear factor
• Cons: u get extra "toppings" that u dont ask for

eat there like 3 times a week

service is fast and the people that work there are super friendly

I've had everything there

The gyro and doner and the souvlakis are awesome

the pizza is also very good Try the Romanos special

Romanos is great

This is one of the best places in Astoria. The food is great, freshly prepared and not expensive. The place is spotlessly clean. The service is quick,friendly and polite. I like the atmosphere here. Busy, full of locals and families. You can watch your food and pizza being made. Try the chicken souvlaki, best i ever had. Delivery is fast too. They treat you like family when you come in. the pizza is also great.
