I bought my dress there and it was a HUGE mistake. Please read this if you are considering buying your dress there. When I picked up my dress they told me to hang it over a door and unzip the outer garment bag and keep the internal plastic bag over it. As per their request, I did exactly that for the three days I had my dress before my wedding. About two hours before my ceremony my bridesmaids helped me take my dress out and we put it on the bed to remove the stuffing. When I placed it down I saw BLACK GREASE ON THE FRONT of my dress about four or five inches above the bottom of the dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was staring me in the eye as soon as I took it out of the bag!!!!!! I called them in a panic, and also completely frustrated that I had the dress for three days and I would have known what they did to it, in the steaming and stuffing process, if I hadn't listened to them. They suggested a Tide stick- it didn't work!!! My 10K, never been worn, wedding gown had to be worn with stains all over the bottom. Not only did it cost a fortune but it only needs to be worn once and it should be perfect. It was absolutely devastating. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SHOPPING AT KLEINFELD!!!!!

Pros: none

Cons: careless staff, ruined my dress with black grease before I picked it up

I traveled to New York from Texas to find the wedding dress of my dreams. My brother gave me free plane tickets and my mom, sister and I were on our way. In Houston we had visited many bridal shops and once we arrived in New York we went to another handful before arriving at Kleinfelds. I walked in hoping this would be my last stop. By this time I had envisioned the dress I wanted I just couldn't find it! At first it seemed that Kleinfelds did not have the dress I was looking for but I found a gorgogeous dress I just wanted some things added. My sales assitant, Judith, then went to get the Director of Sales to see if she knew of a dress that I was describing. They were in no way pushing me towards buying a dress that I didn't want rather the dress I really liked they said they could change it to the way I wanted it. We went through tons of different embellishments and I cannot wait to see the final product. The whole staff was very helpful and not pushy. When I was paying the deposit for the dress I saw the owner and Judith told him I would like to meet him. He came right over and gave me his cell phone number and told me I could call him day or night with any questions and to go straight through him regarding scheduling my alterations. He even said he might fly my dress down to Texas when he visits family members! He and his staff made my day and I am looking forward to flying back to New York to pick up my dress. ( I really loved the city and want to go back) I would recommend this store to anyone and everyone and wish you luck in finding your dress. The service is excellent from owner on down.

Okay, I bought my dress from Kleinfeld's like most brides in NY and all over the world. I have to say each time I go there for a fitting or to pick out assesories, I'm met with a nasty attitude or they are late and then want to rush me through my appointment. It's funny how I went there on a day they were filming to pick up my dress I had paid 10k for and the owner was standing by the entrance to the show room and snubbed me. She only had time for the Jewish girl and her mother standing next to me who were "just looking". Again, if you are black, spend your money elsewhere, they don't respect us here nor do they need our $$$! Enjoy!

Pros: it's in NY

Cons: They only like you if your a NYKR and Jewish!

I showed up at Kleinfeld today without an appointment, not realizing my mistake but they managed to fit me in and I only waited for 10 minutes. They were so nice about it. I The first dress I tried on was THE dress. My sister-in-law-to-be was there with me and she, the wedding gown consultant, and I all knew it immediately. The dress was designed by Judd Waddell who happened to be having a trunk show there that weekend so I got to meet him! He told me I looked beautiful and later gave me a sketch he did of me in the dress with his signature and my name on it. I almost cried. My wedding gown consultant, Muriah, was wonderful. She was so helpful and was just a wonderful person. She was genuinely nice and listened to everything I had to say. So so professional yet also very warm and kind. She did not push for anything and actually encouraged me to stay in my budget. I saw this dress that was $4600 and my budget was $3000. I wanted to try it on but she told me I should stay closer to $3000 so that I don't end up only liking that dress and totally killing my budget. What sales consultant actually cares about your wallet?!?! I love this woman! I felt so comfortable shopping at Kleinfeld. The appointments are about an hour long with your own personal consultant so you get quality one-on-one attention. The place is beautiful and I was just totally taken away by the service. The quality of their dresses and employees are top-notch. I cannot recommend Kleinfeld more. The prices for wedding gowns are $1000+. You get a 12.5% discount if you buy at the trunk show. It's totally worth going for a designer you like. I read reviews of people from out of state who flew in. They are not crazy! I live in NJ, so it's not a big deal for me but I completely understand why people do that. The service is unbelievable. Please visit Kleinfeld if you are looking for a wedding gown. (They have other attire but I was there just for the wedding gowns). It is truly a magical experience.

Pros: World-class quality and service of consultants, dresses, designers, atmosphere and value

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

I'm the mother of the Bride. We were not sure what to expect. We had a great experience!! It was a sample sale so we anticipated that it would be crazy. It wasn't. They were organized and helpful. Our Bridal Consultant Debbie was the best!! She picked out the prefect dress for my daughter. She was so good that the first dress was the one. Althought my daughter tried on 12 more. The first one was the one we purchased. They did not pressure us or rush us in any way. Debbie was sincere and had alot of patience. Good luck to all you Brides.

Pros: great prices

Cons: parking, use a parking lot

I flew in from Chicago just to go to the Kleinfeld's Blowout Sample Sale yesterday. I had heard rave reviews about the sale but did not expect the wonderful experience I had in my WILDEST dreams!! Unlike other sample sales, which are madhouses, each bride was assigned a CONSULTANT! Unheard of at a sample sale!! My consultant was Erika & she was the sweetest, most helpful consultant I have ever had!! I told her exactly what I was looking for & she FOUND it!!! As if It couldnt get any better than finding the dress of my dreams, the owner, Ronnie Rothstein, personally greeted me and gave me advice as I tried on my dresses!! And I mean HONEST advice--he REALLY and truly cared about the way I would look on my big day!! What owner takes the time to do that?? He even gave me advice as to what my FIANCE should wear in order to compliment my dress!! I would HIGHLY recommend this story to ANY bride--even brides across the country who want to jet-set for the day to find the dress of their dreams!! It's WELL worth it!! Thank you RONNIE, MARA, ERIKA, RANDY and JOAN!!! Such a great team, you made my dreams come true!!

Pros: Great service, excellent selection, all designer gowns at amazing prices.

Cons: None that I can think of!

I hade such an amazing experience choosing my gown at Kleinfelds. I had previously purchased my dress and came back to make sure I made the right decision. The staff was extremely helpful, attentive, and really made sure that I made the best decision for me. Ronnie (the owner) was very personable and helpful and Randy the fashion director was also terrific. They were even taping an episode of the show (which I was not on and nowhere near) and they still put in lots of time with me to make sure I was happy and taken care of. They (and my salesperson) both made me feel like I was a princess! I can't wait for my wedding day and I am looking forward to going back to Kleinfelds for my fitting. I would say that Kleinfelds is a must for all brides looking for gowns.

I went to Kleinfeld Bridal two weeks ago and was not impressed. When I arrived I was "greeted" with indifference and told to fill out a survey and wait. My consultant came to meet me and my party (sister and two best friends). We went into a very small changing room where she asked me a few questions and she left us to get my first dress. When she came back she asked me to change infront of everyone! No robe, no screen...just drop everything and get in the dress. I asked the people with me to step outside for a moment while I changed. After trying on dresses that were on my top five, I could not choose. I told her I wanted to think about it as this is a large and important purchase ($4000 to $6500) and she kept pressuring me to pick one and put a deposit. My party and I were mortified. The entire time I was there, there were film crews taping other brides. I noticed their consultants were smiling and very enthusiastic. Unfortunately, I decided to go elsewhere as I did not like being treated like my day was not as important as those who agreed to be on television. I did not like being pressured into spending a large amount of money and I would have appreciated a smile and some nice words!

Pros: Large selection of dresses

Cons: Bad service, inadequate changing areas

A friend of mine bought her wedding gown at the Amsale Trunk show in February and had a great experience. Our sales consultant, Pauline was wonderful! I told Pauline that when I got engaged I would come back to her. Well I actually got engaged 3 weeks after my friend bought her gown. I knew that I wanted to go to Kleinfeld, but I made it my last appointment. I decided to see the rest of what NYC had to offer before I went there. I went to Bergdorf, Pronovias, RK and Pricilla of Boston. I went to Kleinfeld last Friday. Pauline remembered me and was so professional and also so much fun! They were having a Pnina Tornai trunk show. I have been in love with one of her gowns for a very long time. I actually wanted my friend to try it on when we were there in February but they said they didn't have it. Pauline introduced me to Pnina and asked me to describe the gown. She said it was from 2007 and they might have the sample in the stock room. By the way Pnina has a great way about her. She is very warm and kind. Pauline took me and my friend into the gown room to look for others to try on while she went to the stock room. What was only 5 minutes seemed like an eternity....Lo and behold here comes Pauline with THE DRESS!!!! I knew it was the one that I would buy when I saw it in the bag...lol:-) The best part is that the dress was marked down significantly. I put it on and didn't want to take it off. Randi, the fashion director came over and help me match up a veil. He was also very nice and very professional. I also met Ronnie the owner. He was very personable and seemed like he genuinely enjoyed his work. Because the dress is a sample, I was able to bring it home that day. My wedding is in February of 2009 so I will book an appointment at towards the end of this year for alterations. Kleinfeld is the place to go! I also recommend Pauline as a consultant. She really listens to what you are looking for and is patient, as well as honest in her advice and opinions.
