Just great.. good beer, good burgers and baseball. Say anything else of Teddy's is an anathema, a slander. ;-) ube123

Teddy's food is pretty good.. But the service is the WORST I have ever seen. I am not saying this because I've been there once and had a bad experience but I have been there several times and had a bad taste in my mouth from the servers on several occasions.. Most of them have major attitudes, like I should be glad that they are there to serve me.. They take the order and then you have to wait so long for the drinks.. Forget about ordering another one cause you'll be finished with your food by the time it arrives to you, with another attitude.. We ordered burgers they didn't give ketchup and then when we asked she rolled her eyes.. No one even came over once to ask how our meal was or if we needed anything and it wasn't even busy?? The bartender was crazy and on occasion burst out singing out of nowhere, she was annoying and loud and we had to talk louder because she was so over bearing.. Def not going back there they're a bunch of "real winners" there and I'd rather give a tip to someone who deserves it! P.S. I'm a waitress also so I know how overwhelmed and all you can become when it's busy and all but most times it's not considered busy enough for the laskluster service we have received on several ocassions..
Pros: burgers
Cons: Nutjob wait staff

I've been going to Teddy's for a few years now and even though we've had our ups and downs, it's my favorite place to go to in the Greenpoint/Williamsburg area. I recommend getting a nice local brew (brooklyn or bluepoint), a platter of wings, and the nachos supreme. Make sure you go with a few people and hope that they never release any sort of caloric information for the dishes.
Pros: Beer and wings...what more do you need?
Cons: Hipsters from Wisconsin

This is my second time writing a review.. I frequent Teddy's often and unfortunatly have to overhear uptight, spoon fed wanna bee's complaining cause they aren't given great service or they think they are given an attitude.. the way the complainers ask, or rather, demand things is outrageous. I don't know how the waitstaff puts up with these cats. I read the previous review and I can only assume the complainers were well deserving of an attitude. For those who think they are "entitled" to people being subservient to them..go back to mom and dads and clean your room once..you know who you are...If you want a great food and drink..go to Teddy's
Pros: rarely an empty glass of beer, amazing food
Cons: hard to get a seat at the bar

here's the thing. the food is good, the wait usually isnt bad even on weekends but the service? AWFUL. i've been here countless times with lackluster waitstaff and the food and drinks take forever. thats cool when you're hanging and talkin with your friends over some drinks but come ON! fill up my water once! just once. i think i'll stop going to teddys unless i hear they hire some new waitstaff...
Cons: waiter, waitress

My boyfriend and I love this place. It's nice and casual and a great escape from typical Williamsburg. We've always had a great food experience; we always get a couple beers and share the mussels (with white sauce) and we have yet to be disappointed. There can be a wait for a table, but there's usually a spot at the bar to tide you over. As for the service, I'd say it's not particularly amazing or terrible. The bartenders and waitresses are polite and attentive, but can be distracted by the amount of customers they're serving. Now that it's football season, we go there to watch the games on the multiple tvs.
Pros: Food, beer, friendly atmosphere
Cons: Can be crowded, which means it can get noisy

I am a very patient man who will wait for his food forever if it is good. I like Teddy's. I have been going there for along time now. I really enjoy the food. The service is lousy and has always been since I have been goingthere. I had to wait almost an hour today for eggs! The wait staff did not even care that I was in the corner waiting. I never recieved my food. The waitress told me she was sorry and she would fix the problem. So I ordered my food again and waited. Then the manager came to my table and said he did not have any more of what I had ordered,at that point I decided to go some where else. Teddy's was not crowded so that was no excuse. If you don't have patients of steele don't go to this restaurant.
Pros: The food is above average.
Cons: Crowd is loud!!!

The wait staff is rude and slow, the food is not fit for human consumption. The place has taken a turn for the worst since it changed hands a while back. The drinks are overpriced and the bartenders act like you are privileged to be served by them. I have eaten breakfast and lunch there with friends and both times we all felt sick afterwards. They need to hire a better wait staff, a cook who took a course on food sanitation and a cleaner. I have been a loyal patron since I was old enough to drink (at that time they still had an old piano). I have watched the prices go up and the service get worse and worse. Gentlemen unless your date is already drunk do not take her there. This is a great place for the nostalgic (but just to look). The outside looks like it did in the early 1900's when the bar was first opened. The bar itself is original right down to the ornate design the big old mirrors and the old bar stools. The place would probably do a lot better if they turned it back to the old speak easy it used to look like. They would first have to fire everyone but the hostess who is very pleasant and accommodating.
Pros: Outside is pretty
Cons: Service, not clean

The atmosphere was great and then menu offered a wide variety of choices but every burger at our table was overcooked (medium= well done) and one came without cheese. We had waited so long already that we decided not to say anything. The service was friendly enough but we definitely had to wait way longer than we should have for water, a second round of beers, and to get our check at the end. I wasn't impressed overall but would definitely give it another try.

Teddy’s is an institution that has tested the test of time and thankfully has not catered to the pretentious “hipster” culture other establishments in the area have bowed to. One of the biggest draws to the restaurant is its diverse and well-made food, which includes a bargain brunch on weekends and the best burgers and steak fries in the neighborhood. Along the usual pub fare you will find selections that cross cultures and styles from American to Italian and even Mexican. Items range from sandwiches to sautéed salmon; pastas and specials of fajitas. A classic wooden bar, jukebox and comfortable settings (even a wood-burning fire place in the rear dining room) make for a more-than-average pub experience.
Pros: Good food; pleasant location; classic decor
Cons: Average service; no happy hour
