Casual Filipino barbecue spot with family friendly prices.
by Keith Wagstaff at Citysearch
Walk into a small storefront, go past the kitchen, up a flight of stairs and past a totally unaffiliated beauty salon to find a room brimming with the savory scent of barbecue and the chatter of Filipino families. This cheerfully ramshackle restaurant in Woodside’s Little Manila neighborhood specializes in meat of all kinds, including thick chunks of charred pork on bamboo skewers and grilled marinated steak (all served with rice, of course). Other classic Filipino dishes--from lechon kawali (deep-fried pork belly) and lumpiang shanghai (pork spring rolls) to kare kare (oxtail in peanut sauce) and crispy pata (deep-fried pork knuckles)--are thankfully all on the menu as well.

This Woodside Filipino joint serves up barbecue and Filipino classics like lechon kawali (deep-fried pork belly), sinigang (tamarind soup) and kare-kare (stewed oxtail in peanut sauce) at wallet-friendly prices.
Best value and quality Philippino food in Queens!
by NYCfoodguy at Citysearch
I first discovered this restaurant on WhereIsCID Blog, saw the pictures and said I have to try this. It's so cheap and simple and delicious, I come here at least once a week now. My favorites are the BBQ pork, shanghai lumpia and the mellon drink. Only downside is the restaurant closes so early: 7:30PM which was the reason why I've tried other Philippino restaurants in the area. They do not compare!
- Pros: food, cleanliness
- Cons: hours
filipino bbq at its best!
by ilovebub at Citysearch
the food is great here, but to be more specific, the bbq is AMAZING. it's the perfect filipino bbq. the decor is like going to your aunt's house, but take it with a grain of salt...the food is truly worth it!
- Pros: great food
- Cons: not the best parking situation
Best Pinoy BBQ sticks
by agapitog at Citysearch
For authentic Philippino pork bbq sticks come here. Just thinking about it gets me hungry. They also have a wide variety of other dishes that are equally delicious (sizzling steak in special sauce, lumpiang shanghai, halo-halo,...) So many choices...although you will come to have favorites like I do. The waitstaff and patrons were all welcoming and treat you like family. The prices are definitely a bargain. May I also suggest to take some pork bbq sticks to go.
- Pros: Pork bbq sticks and sizzling steak in special sauce
- Cons: The wait is a little long...and maybe add garlic rice to the menu.
